--- Unbidden tears slipped down the feline's face, silent and cold. The sky was like a painted abyss, smears of colorful oil decorating the endless black. Twinkling stars flicked in and out, like the heartbeat of the world. Belligerentstar's yellow pupils gazed upwards, pondering. Was Secretlullaby up there, watching down on them and scoffing at mortal antics? What about Bunnystar, was he still protecting his clan from afar? But more importantly, how did they feel about him? He had the ability to protect them, granted from both sides of the bridge. Starclan granted him lives, the Dark Forest gave him skill. He had the power of Cadceed and the heart of Dayax. The hero and the vigilante. The sun and the moon. The seen and the unseen. Yet, he could not save them. He was powerless when it came to death, no matter how hard he tried. Everyone had to face Trogon eventually. They were gone. Fulfilled their purpose, whatever it was. That didn't make it hurt any less. Perched in the highest branches of the Thundertree, the leader was hidden from xyr clan. No one could find xe here, concealed and tucked away. They were closest to the sky, to the realm of the abyss gods. 'Cadceed. Dayax.' The prayer was nearly a whisper, the names uttered softly but with much vigor. One was not to say those sacred syllables often, to keep the names holy and treasured. To give them weight and value, unlike many words now. Yet, here and now, they said them. It was out of desperation, the stinging pain burning in their slowly healing heart. Trogon had already received Secretlullaby and Bunnystar. They had already been placed in Starclan, the Dark Forest, or maybe even the rumored Gray Sea. They couldn't reverse the Fulfillment. But. They could delay the Fulfillment. They could extend the life of those around them, and help them live and prosper. That was what he prayed for. The words were forever lost in the whistling branches of the tree, known only to Belligerentstar and those above. -- omg?? what's this? the long-awaited religion project + the long-awaited project for bellgy mourning secret and bunny? and a new belligerentstar design? yeah!! :D @lotusfae made belligerentstar's beautiful leader design, which will be shared shortly with y'all <3 [ when i can figure out to export the high-quality version lol ] anywho, i'm not gonna share too much about bellgy's religion cause that's for a different project. but here's a small summary!! here's the list of gods! the three do not interact with mortals at all, besides having created starclan and the df as a place to have a second chance at 'life'. the three: seriemas – creation passerine – sustainment trogon – fulfillment each represents a different part of the cycle-- creation being self-explanatory, sustainment meaning the length and lasting of life, and fulfillment being the conclusion of one's goal, usually resulting in death. this is why bellgy often refers to death as the 'fulfillment', as you cannot die and meet trogon with fulfilling. seriemas is always sleeping, the most powerful of the three while also the most absent. passerine is also considered to be the god of nature (much like how trogon is said to be the god of death), keeping the earth alive. the abyss gods: cadceed – sun, hero, seen dayax – moon, vigilante, unseen the abyss gods were both simply abyss gods, having no difference between the two. however, when bickering over how the mortal realm was to be run, they disrupted the balance. they are the only ones who can influence the mortals, and are the reason for natural disasters, day and night, sickness, noise, and other various things. these are the primary gods that belligerentstars prays too, as the three refuse to touch the plight of mortals. anyho! :D i'm glad y'all enjoyed <33 please give feedback and advice if possible! :)) ---
