Both of these characters are shapeshifting spirits with two forms, one four-legged and one two-legged. The first one (crimson warrior) is a mysterious spirit, fond of gambling and trickery. You may see them after dark in their fox form, though they hide in the shadows. If you wish to play with them, they can be summoned by burning incense and cards. Then they will appear in their human form. You may ask that they give anything as a prize, be it money or power or love, but they will ask for a bet from you in return. They always play fairly, but always play well, and many a first child (and other such things) have been lost to this spirit. The other spirit (paper canine) prizes knowledge above all else. They are too proud to be summoned, but may appear before you to tell you something or learn from you. They spend much of their time in their tower reading, but occasionally travel the world to learn new things. They have sacrificed much for knowledge, including their eye.
