The variable that says "Yards" is the overall distance in yards that everyone that has played the game have driven. To switch vehicles, click on the little orange circle. It will ask you for a vehicle number. The vehicle numbers go in number order. If there is only three vehicles available, you need to pick a number from 1 to 3. Because there would be only 3 costumes. It would be the same if there was even 70 vehicles, you would pick a number from 1 to 70 and see what vehicle has that vehicle number. The variable with the symbol next to it that looks like this, #, tells you the vehicle number of the current vehicle you are on. Currently there is only (19)(+1 Secret Car In Notes) vehicles. I will update that number every time I add a new vehicle.
