Story here: ‘Nice punch’. His words still echoed in my mind. The only compliment I'd ever heard Bakugo give- and it wasn’t a backhanded one either. And he’s given it... to me. I mean, it was about the fact that I'd given him a bl00dy nose... but still! He’d complimented me! “Kirishima.” Aizawa’s voice snapped me out of my fantasy land. “I’d like it if you paid even the slightest bit of attention to the class.” My cheeks coloured. “Sorry Aizawa Sensei!” I blushed. “I just had someone- SOMETHING on my mind.” I cleared my throat. “Something on my mind.” Aizawa smirked knowingly. “I’d like to see you after class, Kirishima.” He went back to teaching. I cringed- either I was going to be scolded- or worse. Questioned. --- After class. I sat at my desk, staring down at my hands, hoping he wouldn’t get too mad. “Kirishima.” Aizawa called from the front. “Come here.” I stood up and walked over to my Sensei. “I heard what happened. You punched Bakugo and gave him a bit of a bl00dy nose, by accident.” Aizawa smirked. “I also heard that young Bakugo seemed a little shocked- and a little proud- when he came to Recovery Girl.” I blushed. “Yeah, he told me it was a good punch...” I mumbled. “I might’ve activated my quirk, I don’t know.” “We think you did. Bakugo stayed with Recovery Girl today- that’s why he’s not here. We think you might’ve... well, broken his nose.” Aizawa shrugged. “We’re still looking to Recovery Girl about that. Even if you did, she can fix it.” “What?” I exclaimed. “I broke his nose?” “Well... yes.” Aizawa smiled slightly. “He’ll be fine, don’t worry.” “Yeah, but... can I go see him?” I asked worriedly. “Of course. He’s there right now.” Before Aizawa even finished speaking, I'd grabbed my stuff and booked it out of there- to Recovery Girl’s office. As I entered, I heard Bakugo’s voice. “It’s fine. It doesn’t hurt that- ouch! What was that for?” He complained. “Because it clearly hurts, you young, stubborn teenager.” Recovery Girl’s voice snapped. “Well... it’s fine. I don’t care. I’ve had worse. I’m not letting you use your silly healing methods on me.” “You don’t have a choice. I’m going to-” “Fine.” I saw Bakugo back up into my line of view. And before I could even think about anything, I said, “Bakubro!” He jumped just as Recovery Girl k!ssed his cheek, then glanced at me. “Jeez, hair for brains. Don’t just come running in here and shouting that dumb nickname!” He snapped. I blushed. “Oops! Sorry!” I quickly apologized. “I hear what-” “Yeah. You broke my nose.” Bakugo looked angry...but I could see a sort of proud look on his face. Like he was proud that I'd managed to break his nose. “It was an accident...” I mumbled, an ashamed look crossing my face. “You scared me.” “What the hell? How’d I scare you, stupid? I didn’t even do anything!” I saw Recovery Girl smirk and retreat back into her office, out of my line of view. “Never mind...” I replied softly, not wanting to say that how close he’d been made me flustered. “Yeah, I'm guessing you just punched me for no reason?” Bakugo grumbled before sitting down on the bed and taking out his phone. “What? No! I wouldn’t do that!” Bakugo didn’t even look up- he was clearly uninterested. I just sighed and turned to leave. “It was a good punch.” Bakugo called to me as I left. I glanced over my shoulder- he was staring at me, a fl!rty smile playing on his lips. I just shrugged and continued walking out the door, but the second I left the room, I slid down against the wall and covered my face with my hands. ‘That smile...’ I thought frantically. ‘Why did he smile like that? So fl!rty... so adorable!’ “Stop thinking stuff like that!” I chastised myself. “Stupid! I told you to forget about those stupid feelings!” I stood up, brushed off my pants, then started walking towards the dorms. Kaminari was waiting for me. “Was Aizawa mean?” He asked, following me into the kitchen area. “Did he yell?” “No.” I replied curtly, not really wanting to talk about breaking my crush’s nose. “That’s good!” Kaminari grinned. “Was he stern?” “A bit.” I answered. “Oh. Are you okay? You aren’t talking much...” Kaminari noted. “I’m fine.” I went up to my room. “I need to fix this. Either I forget everything...” “Or I have to try harder to make him fall for me.” END OF CHAPTER TWO
