Happy Autism acceptance month! Please understand that having autism does not change who you are. If you are autistic, that does not mean you are dumber, or weird. Embrace it! To the community of autistic people out there, be yourself. Do not let others decide who you are. You are amazing and don't try to hide it.
I have Autism and from experience, it is hard when people see you differently. I want to show support for others out there like me, and to know that you are not alone. Autism has unfortunately made me a target for bullying and teasing. You might have experience with this too. Do not let this put you down. Be awesome, don't let yourself be teased, and most important, BE YOU! Spread the knowledge, stand up for autistic people-even when it is not autism acceptance month. Just be you. With respect, a fellow autistic kid.
