Jousting Tournament ☽ The Eclipse - - - A small, thin man steps forward into the center of the arena. He unfurls a scroll to read before clearing his throat. "Ahem, hello and welcome ladies and gentlemen, to this year's annual jousting tournament!" The crowd cheers, and the man waits patiently for them to calm, a smile on his face. "We have eight knights participating, each with a chance to win a sword and the title of champion. Are you ready?" The crowd cheers louder this time, and he continues his speech from there. ⋆ ⬤ ☾ ◑ 〇 ◐ ☽ ⬤ ⋆ "First, let's welcome the contestants..." Rp with the person you've been assigned and compete in every round until you are out of the game. If you absolutely must drop out, please let me know and then you can do a quick rp of your OC forfeiting the joust (more about that later), but since this is just rp, hopefully, you won't have to drop out. :) You will rp in the **studio** about getting ready, the actual joust, and the loss/win of each round. To determine who wins the round, you will roll a die and whoever has the highest number will win. We expect you to be honest with this. **You must post a picture of your die to show proof. Only roll the die once per round and you should only roll it after your rp round has started.** You will roll a die to see which one of you will win. But in your rp, here are the rules for how your storyline will play out for winning/losing. Your OC can lose by... 1. Lance tip is shattered. 2. Lance tip broken off as a single piece. 3. Your lance tip makes contact with the opponent but does not break. 4. Being knocked off your horse If your die roll makes you the loser, you can choose to either lose by one of those four ways above or by disqualifying yourself or forfeiting the joust. Disqualification can occur if a knight's lance makes contact with his opponent's horse. A knight may forfeit his tilt by riding along the list with his lance lowered. If you are the winner, you will rp your OC knocking the opponent off their horse or simply watching as your opponent loses in those other ways. After your rp has ended, you'll post a comment here saying that you won, and once everyone from the first round is done, I'll assign new opponents in the next round. Whoever makes it to the last round and wins will earn a shoutout in the studio! :D Before you start, though, we encourage you to find a squire to rp with every round. You are not required to rp with a squire, but it can make it more fun to have more than two people on a rp thread. Only one squire per knight. You can ask one of these squires (listed below) *on their profile* to assist you in the tournament, but it is up to them who they accept. Those with Squire OCs are not required to participate.
