As you read in the title, I'll be ranting about these "memes" usually known as "boys vs girls memes”. If you don't know what boys vs girls memes are, I provided you with an example (click to see a clearer example). I will also provide another example if you are too lazy to click. (it is not ironic, just an example) girls: "Omg she copied my dress!!! >:(" boys: "We are all the same." girls with a time machine: “I am your granddaughter” grandma: “really?” boys with a time machine: *literally changing history* These memes might seem funny, but they are extremely se-ist (the discrimination of a certain gender) because they are basically stereotyping girls and saying that "all girls are so basic and boring, while boys are funny and quirky". Honestly, when I see boys vs girls memes, I get super annoyed, being a girl myself. These memes are obviously made by males who think it is funny to mock females by comparing female stereotypes to themselves and their friends. Since these memes are (for some reason) targeted to a minor audience, it might make younger boys think that all girls are disgusting, basic, or have cooties. I have been seeing these types of memes ever since I was nine, and I've hated them since, but I decided to post this rant now ‘cause I can’t bottle up my opinion anymore.
