Cassandra "Cassy" Cortez // 8 // Female (She/Her), Unexplored // Cassy is a very petite girl who stands at about 3'8". She has a skinny body type, with long but stick-like arms and legs. Her fingernails are short and stubby. She has very dark brown hair (think a dark maroon-ish, almost black-purple shade) tied back in low, voluminous pigtails that reach mid-back. They are tied back with sparkly pink ribbons. She has long bangs in the front of her face that almost obscure her eyes. She has round eyes with visible eyelashes. Cassy's eyes are practically one shade away from blood red. She has bushy, round eyebrows. Cassy has a round face shape and a circular button nose. She has very dry round lips that are a faded greyish-pink. Cassy has very pale, peach-colored skin with blotches of red on her cheeks. Her back is full of small scars that look suspiciously like burns from a cig. She wears very feminine, child-like outfits. This almost always consists of a poofy skirt or dress with striped tights or leggings. She leans toward the colors blue and purple. She has a chain bracelet with a single amethyst gemstone embedded in the middle that she refuses to take off, even in the bath. Her ears are not pierced. // Cassy is a very meek and timid girl who is scared to tell people anything even if she is in severe discomfort. She does not know what she wants for herself most of the time. She flinches very easily, even at the slightest brush, and acts like something will happen to her all the time. She rarely talks, and when she does, she only agrees with what someone says. She will never bring anything new into the conversation. However, even though she's incredibly scared of the thought of being in pain, she has an incredibly high pain tolerance. She isn't athletic, musical, nice (she regularly wishes that everyone would just leave her alone—forever, if you know what I mean), talented, or smart. She's just...the scapegoat. // She is weirdly possessive of two specific objects: her worn-down and patched, purple stuffed rabbit named "Precious" and her purple amethyst bracelet. She loves wearing dresses and anything that makes her feel pretty and loved. Cassy hates even the thought of pain or any of her important things being taken away from her. She has a tendency to damage things subconsciously. She will unscrew an entire chair or key a car without realizing it, and when she does realize, she will burst into tears. When nervous, she doesn't fidget. She just stands completely still, without even trembling, just bracing for something. // As a very young kid (age 4), she was cursed by the Tenebris. Not wanting any trouble, her parents immediately kicked her out with nothing but Precious and a day of rations. She wandered around in the run-down streets for a week, finally collapsing from hunger. She was found by a mysterious stranger who wasn't cursed at all. However, they weren't doing this out of the kindness of their heart: they needed someone to help commit crimes, and what better than a superpowered kid who was going to be easily brainwashed? Cassy was severely abused, but she was still fed and at least showed enough love for her not to run away. "Missus" (as Cassy was forced to call her) wasn't completely and overly mean. Instead, she was a Mother Gothel type who gaslighted Cassy into doing things. The Tenebris also encouraged Cassy to do these things, and so she had one of two choices: steal incredibly expensive, famous things or get kicked out again. After Cassy stole her first thing, she was given the amethyst bracelet as a sign of "appreciation." However, after 4 years, a group of vigilante Lumens caught Missus and took her away. Cassy, who didn't understand what she was doing was in the wrong, cried for days. She doesn't trust anybody with silver eyes anymore. She is currently stuck without a guardian, and she's been wandering the streets for // I'm going to be finding Cassy a guardian in the first roleplay she'll be in, so if anybody wants to claim that, HMU!
