Animation: @sunny455 Art: @sunny455 Words: @Emberstripewc -- PROLOUGE Skypelt woke with a jolt. He sniffed the air, feeling an unusually warm feeling very close to him. A bright light illuminated the darkness of the cold night. Suddenly, he heard a voice call his name. ‘Skypelt!’, it exclaimed. He realised that there was fire surrounding him and his clan members. ‘Run!”, the voice said. In the shadows there was a silhouette of a familiar tom. “Stop standing around and run already Skypelt!”. Hearing the voice of someone he knew calmed him somehow, but not enough to stop him from worrying about the danger that lurked behind him. The golden flame was coming closer and closer, quickening every second. ‘Firestar, is that you?’ Skypelt called. There was no reply. ‘Firestar?’. Skypelt was nearing a river. He leapt onto a nearby log that had previously been cut down by the two-legs and used it as a raft. He floated down the stream peacefully, suddenly realising that he was in RiverClan territory. It took him a few moments to realise how serious the situation he was in really was. ThunderClan was broken, half of his Clanmates were burning in the fire, including the leader, Firestar. The light blue tom was now a clanless cat, as was every cat around him. ThunderClan was gone. All of the cats ran to safety, deeper into the forest. It was dangerous there, but not as dangerous as the roaring fire behind him. The young deputy called some of his old clanmates to a pile of stones. ‘This is where our new camp will be,’ Skypelt announced. There was a sound of murmurs that could be heard throughout the crowd of cats. Voices of ‘ Who is the new leader going to be?’ and ‘What’s going to be the new clan names?’ circled around the group. “Please calm down everyone,” said Skypelt. “The new clan name shall be-”. The crowd suddenly went silent. “-LunarClan, as the Clan is being made under the moon”. Then, Skypelt pointed his paw into the direction of a pile of stacked up stones. “This will be the HighPile, we will make our meetings here,” he said. “And last but not least-” Skypelt said mysteriously “-the new leader of LunarClan is,” He paused, “Flamestep, has StarClan said anything?” “Yes,” announced the experienced tom. “The new leader shall be-” “You, Skypelt, you are the new leader of LunarClan, and must go to the moonstone to have your new name earned through StarClan, for now, you will be known as Skystar.” The crowd of cats yowled and chanted the new leader’s name; ‘Skystar, Skystar!’
