Richard Savage in Wales, where he's enjoying his life. Best seen in full screen. So, this is sort of my first animation, of sorts! Sorry for the choppy bits of it, such as the breathing and eye movements - I tried, but I couldn't really find a way how to make smooth transitions between individual Y or X values. This is not the drawing that I intended! This was originally going to be an image of him with a more malevolent grin, maybe in a dark corner of a restaurant or in an alcove between buildings, as Savage would more often have been; however, there's something I just like about the idea of him actually having had completed his goal of reform and living a peaceful life in Wales. Sadly, I didn't depict him with his red cape here (It was red. I've messed up before.), as I couldn't really find a way to work it in. There used to be a glitch in which his torso just, slowly, rose up, breaking free of his body, going to space.
➢ Based off of a painting by Arthur Devis, titled "A Portrait of a Gentleman Sitting." I had seen it, and just knew that I had to draw Savage in the same pose. ➢ The trees are blockshaded from painting of 17th-Century painting of London, by Giovanni Canaletto. I believe that it's titled "A View of the River Thames." It was once in the private collection of George III. ➢ Music by Alan Špiljak, from freemusicarchive.org #Animations #Art #Music #1700s #Samuel
