I haven't been keeping up with this series recently, but that doesn't mean that I'm not doing it! Anyways, let's talk about the past 1 1/2 weeks! Let's start with my soccer academy! Soccer Academy was decent, but we have lots of really good players on our academy "team", so in our first session, my friend and I got destroyed, lol. The second session was a lot better as we kind of got used to it. For our soccer games, the first game I had with my new team (not the academy team), was during POURING rain with really strong wind, so the rain would batter the back of your legs and you would get SOAKED, no matter what. However, it was a pretty good game, and we tied 2-2, although one was an "own goal" from our team, TvT. In the second game we had, which was today, we got destroyed. In the first half, we were in the lead 1-0, but the results were 5-1. At least we got one goal, I mean, and luckily, for this game, we had 5 subs! Last year, we played many games where we were even short one player and we had to swap out as goalie or defence when we got tired. Next, let's talk about the Reading Link Challenge! It's already over for us, unfortunately, but not for my friends! They are currently in the finals of the RLC, and if they win, they get a trophy! It's a huge success for them if they do since the RLC is a pretty big competition, competitor-wise. Super proud of them for making it when we couldn't *claps* As for running club, I'm currently at 43km! It's pretty good, considering that last year when I ran nearly every day (except for Fridays), I got 63k, but this year, when I ran literally half of the month, I got 43, which means that I will reach 50k, just like last year (*last year me sighs*). This week (from Saturday to today) I read The Night Gardener by Jonathan Auxier, Magyk by Angie Sage, Firestar by Chris D'Lacey, and Click Here to Start by Dennis Markell. They're all pretty good books, with a decently wide range of genres, including real-fi, mystery/horror, and fantasy. I'm planning to read three other books for the week - Operation Red Jericho by Joshua Mowll, Game Over by M.C. Ross, and Valentina Salazar is NOT a Monster Hunter by Zoraida Córdova. Tell me if you guys enjoyed those three! Now about Scratch camps! First, let's talk about Camp Ethereal! Camp Ethereal has been super fun, but no offense intended to anyone, but no one's really been active in my cabin. It sort of seems to me that I'm carrying the whole cabin, and that doesn't really bother me, honestly, but maybe it would help if people were active in out cabin. Second, let's talk about Skyfall Writing Camp! SWC has been going pretty smoothly, but we have the same issue as Camp Ethereal. No one's really being active, and basically, no one's been doing the dailies and weeklies, and no one is doing song stories or word wars. I'm not targeting anyone here, but just a reminder, campers, please try to be active! And, well, that's it for today! Hopefully, I'll see you guys again soon, and I hope you enjoyed this post <33 - Sophie
