Xandra held her hand against her mouth. A sob escaped her, echoing around the stone building that was now broken into two just like her heart. Her hands met the floor and hot tears made the stone turn a darker shade. Xandra's stomach heaved and she squeezed her eyes shut. A hand touched her shoulder. “DON’T!” She screamed slapping away Jasper’s cold hand. Xandra stood up, her legs shaking and her face wet. “Harper was your sister,” Xandra muttered under her breath. She couldn’t understand. Jasper stepped back, his solid emotionless expression broke. He held his hands in front of his chest as if to guard himself against her anger. It didn’t work. Xandra stepped closer, anger flaring in her dark hazel eyes. Xandra shook her head. “You are an awful, awful person.” Jasper’s eyes narrowed. Fury filled Xandra to the brim, enough that she thought she would explode into fire. “WHY WOULD YOU MURDER SOMEONE SO- IMPORTANT TO THIS WORLD?” Xandra yelled, spit landing on Jasper’s face. Jasper turned away, going to flee. “Don’t you dare, coward.” Xandra hissed, grabbing his wrists to stop him from escaping. Jasper tugged, trying to get his hands free but Xandra only dug her fingernails into his skin making Jasper yelp. “Why Jasper?” Jasper glanced up at her, “I was only doing what was best.” Xandra curled her fingers, making blood touch her fingernails. Jasper tugged away again half-heartedly. “Harper was what was best. She was going to save this corrupted place. Didn’t you see?” Xandra searched his face trying to see the Jasper she once knew. No, she never knew him, she thought she did. But he betrayed her, he couldn’t even be human with how awful he was. Jasper straightened his posture and stared back at her with sharp green eyes as if remembering he wasn't supposed to show emotion. His dark hair fell over his eyes. Xandra shook her head, her face contorting into disgust. “I loved you," Xandra whispered, her voice cracking. “But you clearly were never meant to be loved.” Xandra released Jasper’s wrists. Blood stained Jasper’s right wrist. Jasper stood frozen, still staring at her. “Go,” Xandra said coldly, turning away, not even wanting to see his face. A tear fell down her face. “I don’t want to see your face ever again.” No footsteps started. Xandra grabbed an arrow quickly and turned around, sliding her arrow into place onto the bow and targeting it right a Jasper's heart, if it was even there. She held her hand over the string on the bow and glanced up at Jasper. Jasper stepped back, once...Twice. “Go, or I'll make you.” Xandra snarled. Jasper turned and ran, never looking back.
