Her father was a demon slayer and would train her but one day she got hit in the head with a brick falling from their roof causing her to have brain damage and making her not being able to have good memory and then a demon attacked her family killing her father but leaving her, her brother and her pregnant mother to run away. But then her mom gave birth and died but the baby survived and so Meiko, Juuko(her brother) and her sister Kiko started living on their own, untill Kiko died because Meiko had trouble feeding her. And evntually Meiko and Juuko were found and raised as demon slayers (Juuko is about 16 at current time)
