Story here: “Calm down. Take a few deep breaths.” Kaminari rested his hand on my shoulder. I was practically hyperventilating. “Kirishima, calm down! We can’t have you incapacitated.” I swallowed, trying to take some deep breaths. I was too panicked. “Are you good now?” Kaminari squeezed my shoulder. “It’s okay. I’m sure he’s fine. Probably just was angry, trashed his room, then went on a walk or something.” “Y-Yeah. That’s what happened.” I assured myself. I didn’t believe it. “What if he’s hurt? What if he’s in trouble? What if the League finally came back to get him? They kept saying that they needed him, what if they took him? What if-” “We can play the what if game all day. But for now, let’s just look for him outside.” Kaminari interrupted me. “Don’t think the worst until we know that’s true.” I nodded weakly- I was terrified. No what if game... but I was so scared that he was in danger. “C’mon. I know it's late, but we should look for him outside.” Kaminari smiled reassuringly at me. “I’m sure he’s all good.” He pulled me towards the exit. “Y-Yeah...” “Look, don’t stress about it. You know what Bakugo’s like.” I nodded again, not really wanting to talk. “Really, Kirishima. I’m sure he’s fine.” “You’re probably right.” I sighed. “Let’s just find him...” We spent about two hours looking for him all around town. We couldn’t find him anywhere. Kaminari finally started panicking. “This isn’t good! This is bad! Where is he?” His eyes were wild and scared. I was breathing fast. “I don’t know!” I felt like crying. Everything was wrong. What if he was really hurt? I slumped down to the ground beside a closed coffee shop and began to sob quietly. I heard Kaminari sit down beside me. “Hey, it’s okay, don’t cry.” I felt him wrap his arms around me and pull me into a tight hug. “It’s okay, right? We’ll find him. Us, or Aizawa. He’s probably fine. Maybe he already went back to UA and we just missed him!” I nodded. “That’s probably what happened. We should get back.” Kaminari glanced up at me as I stood, brushing nonexistent dirt from my pants. “Well, come on!” We ran back to UA together, then into the dorms and started pounding on Bakugo’s door. “Hey! You in here?” I called, not even caring who I woke up. There was no answer from behind the door. “Bakubro? I’m coming in!” I shoved the door open- he wasn’t there. Everything was just as we’d left it. “No! No, no, no!” I practically threw a tantrum. Kaminari grabbed my arm, trying to calm me down as I raged. Soon, my rage turned into despair as I sank down onto his bed, feeling tears start to roll down my cheeks. “It’s okay.” Kaminari promised. “I’ll let Aizawa know.” He headed out of the room to find out teacher. I stood up and began to pace around the room. That was when I found his phone- open on the home screen. With a new recorded message on it. I clicked play, not knowing what I was doing. The first thing I heard was heavy breathing, and then Bakugo say, “Get away from me!” There was thump and I heard Bakugo inhale sharply. There was another voice but I couldn’t make out what they were saying. Another thump. Then Bakugo start to scream, but it was instantly muffled. And that was the end of the recording. “No, no, no, I need more!” I gasped, desperately flipping through the recordings on his phone. There was nothing else of any importance. “Aghhh, come on! This could be the key to everything!” It already was. --- “So... you just found his room like that and he was gone.” Kaminari nodded. He was seated beside me, in Aizawa’s office. It was about four in the morning, but neither of us cared. I’d say Aizawa did, but he actually seemed more concerned about Bakugo’s disappearance. I hadn’t gotten to playing the recording yet. I hadn’t even shown Kaminari. “Do you have any clue of where he is or what happened?” Kaminari’s mouth opened to say something, but I held up Bakugo’s phone to cut him off. “I found this.” I played the recording, which left Aizawa and Kaminari in silence. Then, at the same time they said: “League.” And the sad part was that I actually had to agree on that. “They must’ve come back for him after that fail in grabbing him during training...” I choked on my words, now unable to think. “Maybe he... maybe...” “Kirishima.” I glanced up at Aizawa said my name. “Don’t overthink this. Actually, don’t think of it at all. We’ll deal with everything and get him back safe and sound.” “But he’s-” “Mm, no.” Aizawa held up his hand to cut me off. “Shh. We’ll deal with it. Now, you boys better get some sleep.” Kaminari stood up, grabbed my arm, and started walking towards the dorms. “Wait, Kaminari!” I stopped dead in my tracks. “We can’t just leave him behind, can we?” The boy’s yellow eyes glittered with disappointment as he turned to look back at me. “What other choice do we have?” His footsteps faded away down the hall as he left towards his dorm.
