/Inspired by the song Nothing by Bruno Major/ “How do you feel about staying in tonight?” “Sure. I’ll bring out the tracksuits, you bring out the red wine? “Perfect.” The couple spirit up momentarily, the boyfriend getting the tracksuits, and the girlfriend getting the wine. He handed her a tracksuit after she carefully poured the wine into two separate glasses. “I also found a few movies,” he said as she was changing, pulling out three DVDS and setting them next to him. “Okay. We can watch them after we play Nintendo.” “Whatever you say, my love.” She joined her boyfriend on the couch after she threw the tracksuit on, selecting a game. As they played, the boy stared at the girl, barely paying any attention to the TV screen. “AHA!” She yelled, putting the controller down. “I win again!” He was still looking at her. “What is it?” He shook his head, “I’m so grateful for you. Have I told you that lately?” The girl rolled her eyes at him. “Shut up.” “I love you.” “I love you too. Now let’s watch a movie!” She closed her eyes and reached for a DVD. Her hand touched /The Notebook./ “This movie is so stupid,” he groaned, covering his face with a pillow. By the end, he was crying. “Oh, it’s stupid, huh,” his girlfriend teased. “Shut up!” “We’ve seen this movie seventeen times, and everytime, you end up crying,” she laughed, throwing an arm around her boyfriend. “It’s an emotional movie!” he protested. “Seventeen times!” “Whatever.” He leaned into his girlfriend’s touch, and they stayed like that even after the credits finished rolling. The couple sat in comfortable silence, listening to the rhythm of each other’s breaths. /But there’s nothing like doing nothing with you./ “Happy one year, my love,” he whispered, gently pressing a kiss to his girlfriend’s forehead. “I love you.”
