This is my entry for @RayatheRaccoon13's DTA! I entered for Sandy Beach. Does this count as late...? I tried to draw the shell, but I don't know if it actually looks like a shell... (Bio below) --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Name: Neptune, he/him Species: Cat, Maine Coon (the big fluffy ones) Birthday: June 1 Personality: Neptune is very loyal, brave, funny, and can be a great friend. However, he can also be arrogant and reckless. Likes: Water, shells, fish, summertime, cat treats, and sleep (of course, he's a cat.) Dislikes: Sharks, octopuses, getting sand stuck between his claws Backstory: Neptune was a normal cat once, a Maine Coon cat living in a wealthy home. One day, his family left the back door of their house open, letting Neptune slip free. He learned his owners lived near the coast, where he began to hang out on a wooden dock for boats, coming back to his owners by sunset and leaving just before noon the next day. He went on this routine for a few peaceful, wonderful weeks. Then, the day before his first birthday, he came just too close to the water's edge and slipped off the dock into the water. Unable to swim and his fluffy fur dragging him down, Neptune was pulled into the water's depths. He woke up on the beach, finding he now had blue markings on his back and tail. He panicked at first, but then decided to take a few steps into the water to see if he had new powers. Somehow, in his journey through the sea, he'd gained the ability to manipulate water and breathe underneath it as well. He never went back to his owners. Even though he still wasn't a good swimmer, he tried to go deeper into the water each day, hoping to find what had given him his powers. A few months later, in early fall, he dove into the water. Swimming as deep as he could go, he saw something, like a shell. He swam even closer, and was amazed to see a single shell, glittering with blue sparkles. He knew this was what had given him his powers. He easily named the shell "Jupiter" and kept the shell with him almost all the time, sometimes letting it float by itself or having it sitting on a necklace he put around his neck. He currently spends his days in the water, enjoying his life and meeting many more cats curious about the water's edge. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------
@RayatheRaccoon13 for hosting the DTA, kind of making part of the thumbnail, and making Neptune's design in the first place. (I did change a couple of things and colors, which I believe is fine.) I made the art on Krita :)
