This project is to simulate natural selection. The thing that determines if the cells reproduce or not is simply the Eastern side, and you can move this around in the costumes editor for different results. There are differently coloured cells for different directions, and whichever ends up where it is supposed to will reproduce. None of the outcome is pre-programmed; it is all simulated with the cells starting in random positions. Bug report: [FIXED] Whole simulation stops at generation 7 [UNFIXED] Slows down a bit near gen 20 and stops at around gen 31. Either this is a bug, or we are thinking the fermi paradox is much more complicated than it actually is.
This project was inspired by davidrandallmiller's video, "I programmed some creatures. They evolved." on Youtube. I'm working on a much better version currently (as of the start of 2024) (I do not predict myself to finish it at any point soon.)
