So theres this book youve probably heard of and read called the bible. So today we're demeaning it because im posting weekly and bored. anyway lets start. the bible was written in between 1200-165 BC and it has some.. lets say controversial opnions. But first we must understand that the bible is probably not accurate in the slightest. It was written thousands of years ago, has been translated many times, and has had over 30,000 changes in it. But before we start digging down we're actually gonna use a bible verse (wow) and that is 2 Peter 1:20 Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. So this verse pretty much means dont interpret the bible. So this means that the flood did happen and that god created the world in 7 days and all that fun stuff. As almost all of us know humans and pretty much every animal have evolved from something else meaning that god did not create the world in 7 days as there is almost no concrete evidence supporting it. Next lets talk about the flood. Now in my opinion i find the flood just flat out wrong. We percieve god as all knowing and forgiving but he just yeeted all the people out like he didnt respect their religion (god be going against human rights *gasps*) Anyway building the raft wouldve been impossible for one person to build especially bending the wood and even if noah did manage to do that theres no way he rounded up every animal and got them on in time to. Finnaly i wanna address one more point biblical evidence says the earth was created around 7000 years ago which wouldve been impossible for almost every proven scientific thing to happen such as pangea, big bang, trilobites, fossils, dinosaurs, etc you get the point. The bible is outdated and wrong lol and yet its the most wideselling book like cmon guys i aint gonna worship the very hungry catipillar because there was an old book about it (hypothetically) so why do people use the bible for worship. peace out yallses.
Hey there, the original project are in the instructions. As I find key areas I will post about them I will quote. "So theres this book youve probably heard of and read called the bible." The Bible is quite literally the most popular book of all time at least according to Guinness " the bible was written in between 1200-165 BC". Umm No the Bible was written between 1440 BC and 100AD at the max. I don't know why the experts seem to believe that it was first written around 1440 BC I think it's because of Moses and Egypt's datings, Although for the New Testament, the date is most likely before 100 AD because we already have books that are siting new Testament books, This means that the books had to be earlier than 100 AD and circulating at the time. Since Jesus's death occurred at 33 AD this means that we have around 67 years between all of the new testament books. "It was written thousands of years ago, has been translated many times, and has had over 30,000 changes in it" Okay first we must note that the translations have over 30,000 changes in them while this might effect the different translations of the Bible we still have what is called Manuscripts, to simply define manuscripts are, versions of an ancient book that has been found that is dated farther into the past, The Bible has many many manuscripts since we can look at these manuscripts it doesn't matter that the English version has over 30,000 changes, the fact that the manuscripts are there makes this 30,000 changes irrelevant because we know what the Bible said before these changes. This was often before it was translated into another language so the fact that it's been translated so many times also doesn't change what the Bible says. The Bible is by far one of the best books manuscript-wise in the ancient world so the fact that it's been translated so many times has zero relevance to how corrupt the Bible is, and often the translations somewhat agree with each other. The fact that it was written so long ago also doesn't matter because we have stuff written long ago that we can look at so all of these don't matter The Bible is by far one of the best-conditioned books from the ancient world. "2 Peter 1:20...So this verse pretty much means dont interpret the bible." No this is not what the verse means this verse means that Scripture came from God and not the prophets we are allowed to interpret the Bible. " So this means that the flood did happen and that god created the world in 7 days and all that fun stuff." Now before we go further I should note that just because I write out a view point doesn't mean I believe it I have many different idea's on what could have happened, First Some say that Genesis was a metaphor and should not be taken literally take what you want from that idea. I also purpose a different idea that is like young earth creationism lite. God created the earth 6000 years ago although when doing this he made the earth look like it was 4 billion years old. If this is true then evolution couldn't happen because there's not time for it to happen, If this is true then it takes out evolution in one stride, The only problem with this theory is that it's unfalsifiable at least from my understanding. next, " i find the flood just flat out wrong. We percieve god as all knowing and forgiving but he just yeeted all the people out like he didnt respect their religion (god be going against human rights *gasps*) " I don't have a lot of evidence for the flood just because I haven't done much research on it, this means that I won't be responding to the question did it happen although I will respond to the question was God wrong in it. The answer is no how us Christians view God it's impossible for God to be wrong, There is no plausibility it's like asking can purple be green the awnser is No. Although I find that most people don't like that awnser and want more of a explanation and it comes quite simple God killed those people becuse it saved the entire world, he saved you and me by killing those people. " building the raft wouldve been impossible for one person to build especially bending the wood and even if noah did manage to do that theres no way he rounded up every animal and got them on in time to." Nobody told Noah to build it alone and God got the animals, not Noah. I answered the 7000 year stuff with what I call Young Earth Lite, But they asked a question we do poeple use this book for worship, there is something special that the Bible has that no other book has, many people don't recognize the splendidness of the Bible The Bible is quite litterally the most amazing story ever written, it contains things that we just can't understand, Why was Isaiah able to predict that Jesus was going to die that Mary was going to be with John that he was going to die for our sins? Why was Daniel able to tell us the exact date that Jesus was going to enter Jerusalem? Why does Moses tell us where Jesus was going to die? God Bless
