And congratulations - you've stumbled across my attempt to, if not become a leader or co-leader of a SWC cabin, then at least try and persuade you to read at least one book in the Discworld series. Discworld is a series by Terry Pratchett and is, in my not-so-humble opinion, one of the best series ever written. It's got everything you could possibly want: a world on the back of a turtle, wayward wizards running around trying not to die, kind but stern witches who seem to be the only vaguely sane characters, a chill cat-loving Grim Reaper, prophecies involving unsent letters, pyramids that can manipulate time, policemen with darkness powers, cynical talking dogs, an orangutan librarian... what more could you possibly ask for? And that isn't even everything in the books! It's funny and satirical and creative and touching and insanely quotable, and if you have heard of it but decided not to read it, I urge you to change your mind THIS SECOND.
