Someone remind me why I even tried to do this -_- Welp I tried my best, that's what matters Side note: I plan on editing and changing this drawing to make it better throughout the DTA, so none of this is finalized till the last day of May! Name: Black Rose Backstory (currently): A rat that lived quite a normal life until her family fell victim to an attack with a nuclear bomb. The radiation from the explosion changed her from a normal rat to a mutant, altering her appearance until she no longer looked like her own species. Spikes grew from her back, her ears were enlarged, and her claws became abnormally long and sharp. She found a way to escape the deadly radiation with the help of her own senses and then ran into a group of surviving humans. They wanted to study her and find out how she had escaped, and used her as a lab rat. For a little while, they experimented on her, trying to get an understanding of why she was alive and how she became a mutant, but she got away from their clutches and met two animals who would change the course of her life forever: A chameleon and a bear cub. She embarked on a long adventure with them, navigating the remains of the place she used to call home and facing many obstacles along the way, until she found a new home where she could live out her days with her new friends as the confident, courageous rodent she came to be. Abilities: Partial immunity to the radiation, but if the radiation is particularly strong she will have to wear her gas mask. Her large ears allow her very sharp hearing. Some of the radiation was actually absorbed into her, so worst-case-scenario she can radiate it in a fight. However, this leaves her exhausted afterwards. Personality: Quiet, mistrustful, highly focused on survival. She will only treat you with genuine kindness if she knows that you're not a threat to her. The whole ordeal messed her up pretty bad, so she is very paranoid and cautious. If she feels that you pose danger towards her survival, she won't hesitate to get you out of her life by any means necessary.
I'm gonna be dead honest: I hoped to use Radioactive as my sona if i were to win them. I probably don't stand a chance against Lagonish (or anyone else, really), but I entered anyway because I love Radioactive. I drew Radioactive on paper because I wanted to make it a little more original on my part. If I made a mistake, I didn't want the computer to fix the lines for me. I wanted to fix them myself and draw to the best of my ability. I entered for this particular character because they're so fascinating. They're drawn so creatively. The artist made them look kind of like a rat in a nuclear apocalypse, and I love it!
