Dear end of camp Jordan; So, we did it! It's the end of your first session at Camp Tropiland. How did it go? Did we make friends? Did we win? Not that winning is the most important thing (it'd be nice though haha). Did we reach our goals? Quite honestly it looks like we set ourselves quite a lot of work and I'm not sure if we'll make it. That's the goal though, right? Push yourself a little bit. Back to the thing I'm most anxious about; did we make friends? I'm a little bit anxious about this one, everyone here seems nice though so I'm sure it's just my social anxiety talking. Oh yeah, why did I choose the goals I did? Well for the writing goal I wanted to continue a book I started a few months ago. Motivation has dwindled, so I'm hoping the incentive of points will help (or... has helped? I don't really know what way to word this). I'd really like to get a decent chunk of it completed by the end of the month. For the walking / cycling goal the reasoning was just that I want to be more active. Winter always means staying cooped up inside, and though this is great for a few weeks, I want to challenge myself to get back into shape. What else did I create goals for? Oh right, reading! I used to love reading so much when I was little. However with schoolwork increasing now that I'm a freshman and a climbing Scratch addiction I haven't picked up a book in weeks. I set this goal pretty low because I'm just easing myself back into reading. I also set a photography goal because I got new fish and I really want to improve my photography skills so I can share them with you guys! Why did I join Camp Tropiland? Well I'm hoping it's quite obvious at this poin; I want to better my skills and get out of my comfort zone. I hope this was a rewarding experience for us, and even if we didn't win or didn't reach our goals I hope we learned something.
'It's the first daily of points today! Write a letter to your end of camp self about what you want to have accomplished during camp. Is there any reason you set those goals? Is it counted towards any projects that will impact something you want to be when you grow up? Is there any reason you joined TC? Where'd you first discover it? Write at least 300 words for 200 jewels! 30 more jewels if you share proof!'
