Yep, you read the title right. I broke my streak of drawing every day this month after getting to 103 days. I'm not going to beat myself up about it (since the whole point of this is for me to grow as an artist, and how can I grow when I'm constantly down on myself?). From now on I'm going to include both a streak count and a total days drawn count. Current streak: 16 Total: 119 (Space/Click/Arrow keys to advance) I'm going to change up how I number these and hope it's less confusing. The numbers in parentheses are the days I worked on each drawing. We'll see if I stick with this method or not. 1 - (4/1) Ayeee Sura finally gets a full-body design! Really happy with the pose and the drawing in general. 2 - (4/2) Guess who has a tiger form 3 - (4/2) A couple of thumbnails for the first page of my sketchbook (which I didn't end up getting to this month whoops) 4 - (4/2) I drew a quick thumbnail for a comic of a scene I have in my head with me and my friend's Marvel OCs. No one here is going to understand what's going on in the comic and I'm not going to try to explain it rn. 5 - (4/3) A couple marker tests for the aforementioned sketchbook first page 6 - (4/4) Another comic thumbnail, this time with my Marvel OC and her boyfriend. I think it's a bit more clear what's going on in this one but I'm still not going to explain it. 7 - (4/5) (SHIRTLESS MAN ALERT avert your eyes if you must) I thought it would be fun to design some scars for Ruan so I did. Not sure how many of these will actually make it into his final design. I was fully intending on doing his back as well but I haven't gotten around to it yet. (On 4/6 all I did was work on a comic for a school project and I don't want to post it until it's finished, but I promise you I drew something this day) 8-9 - (4/7) I didn't know what to draw so I drew the symbols of the four nations from atla 10 - (4/8) Elephant. 11 - (4/9) My family and I went on an evening trip to a big city near us and I saw a cool guy with a cool hat and a cool dog so I took a picture of him (he was far enough away that you can't see his face in it) in case I ever wanted to draw him, and lo and behold several months later I did. 12 - (4/10-12) Guess who finished the Will Turner drawing and is super proud of it (I may make a project with it and the previous iterations if I can find the motivation) 13-14 - (4/13) Ninja stars. I was trying to draw one being thrown with motion blur and everything but failed miserably because I couldn't find reference for it, so I just drew different shaped ones instead. 15 - (4/15) Sad face. 4/14 is the day I missed. My best friend was over that day and spent the night, so drawing wasn't my top priority. It probably didn't help that I cleaned my room before she came over and put my sketchbook away and forgot about it) 16-18 - (4/15, 4/15-16, 4/17-18) (THE FOLLOWING DRAWINGS/DESCRIPTIONS CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE OWL HOUSE proceed at your own risk) I decided to draw one of my favorite redemption arc bois, Hunter from the Owl House. IF ANY OF YOU HAVE SEEN THE ENTIRETY OF THE OWL HOUSE PLEASE TALK TO ME ABOUT IT NO ONE I KNOW HAS SEEN IT AND I NEED SOMEONE TO TALK TO 19 - (4/19-20) Another Hunter drawing, I wanted to have this one separate from the others bc it's my absolute favorite of the bunch. 20 - (4/21) I got a new plant (a coleus if you're curious) and decided to draw it. 21 - (4/22) Somewhat lazy self portrait in my simple style bc I was tired and didn't feel like looking at a reference. 22 - (4/23) I got out one of my old art books (it's Sci-Fi Fashion Art School by Irene Flores and Ashly Raiti if you're interested) and drew this with a conglomeration of references from the book. Her head turned out a bit big but other than that I like it. 23 - (4/24-25) Last Hunter drawing of the month (don't worry, I promise there will be more in the future). This one had some fun lighting and I really like how it turned out (especially the glowing eye effect, which looks better irl) 24 - (4/24+26) My latest movie obsession was Stardust, a movie that I had seen before and not been a huge fan of because I couldn't follow the plot. I found out that Charlie Cox starred in it (the first time I watched it I hadn't reached my daredevil phase yet) and that piqued my interest so I bought it (since it was only one dollar more than renting) and liked it much more the second viewing. So much so that I watched it three times in three days and would've watched more if I had the time. Anyways, this drawing (of the main character Tristan) is incredibly unfinished but I like it so far and I'll finish it when I feel like it. 25-26 - (4/27, 4/28) Din Djarin and Bo-Katan Kryze helmets 27 - (4/29, 4/30) I decided to draw a reversible plush I have because I needed something quick and didn't want to find a reference on my phone. I really like how the dragon one turned out. That wraps up April. God Bless <3 All art and coding by me Song is The Rubberband Man by The Spinners
