How will I know if my application has been seen? The hosts are going to be loving all applications when we've seen them. We will view applications via the remix tree. (Also, I’ll get a notification whenever you remix, so there’s no need to link your application in the comments.) 13. Are collaborative apps allowed? Collaborative applications, where two or more people apply through one app, are not allowed. If you use any art or code by someone other than yourself, remember to clearly give credit in your project description! 14. Can I choose cos before I get accepted? It’s not okay to choose cos before you’re accepted as a leader - you may look at apps in advance but you can’t ask them to co with you or make a pact with friends to lead together. If you do get accepted, guidelines will be given on how to choose co-leaders. 15. Why are letters of recommendation prohibited? We prohibited letters of recommendation primarily because they favor those who are already familiar with the community. They don't serve much of a purpose, and a letter of rec could bias (particularly new) leaders looking to choose co-leaders. We also hope to avoid potential issues that could arise - as any situation involving writing opinions on multiple people can escalate rapidly! 16. What is the Cabin That Will Not Win? The Cabin That Will Not Win (TCTWNW) is a cabin that is removed from the leaderboard and is separate from the competitive aspect of SWC - it's designed to be relaxed and help its participants focus on personal goals instead of cabin points. TCTWNW can be assigned to any genre cabin. 17. What's the purpose of question 9 (about cabin atmosphere)? In addition to being judged as a regular application question, the cabin atmosphere blurb is meant to give future campers an idea of what each cabin will be like beyond themes! This will allow campers to be able to sign up for an experience tailored closer to their personal objectives in SWC, and help leaders to choose co-leaders with similar goals. Cabin co(leaders) will have until a certain date to collaboratively write their official blurb, which will then be included in the camper signups project for all campers to see. If a blurb is not submitted in time, the one written by the cabin leader in their application will be inputted instead. We hope to have cabins with a variety of different atmospheres! - By applying to be leader, you agree that in the event that you have to go inactive, you let the hosts know, transfer studio ownership and take any other necessary actions.
