Story here: My plan really needed some work. First off, I needed to make a plan. I couldn’t just go off, hoping to find Bakugo in the first place I stopped. And I definitely needed to be careful, since I wasn’t completely healed yet. That was a complication. It meant that I couldn’t just go off and fight the League for him. I would just lose. I needed to sneak in and rescue him. And that meant having an actual plan. Which I definitely did not have. I was basically set up to wander around the city, hoping to find some hint to Bakugo’s location. But that really wasn’t what I wanted to do. I wanted to help him, not be another complication. Finally, after much thought, I sat down on a bench near the park. I really was just wandering around for no reason. And my body hurt. I glanced down at the wounds. I’d put on another shirt before I'd left, but I just looked down the collar. The scars were bandaged, but the bl00d was still soaking through the bandages. I hated the sight, but I knew it was my fault. For trusting that Bakugo. For getting so close to him. For letting myself fall head over heels. But I also had to fix it. “When you get Bakugo back, then you can relax. But for now, you’ve gotta get on your feet and find him.” I muttered aloud. “So that’s your plan.” I jumped as a shadow loomed over me. I glanced up at a frustrated looking Kaminari. “You’re really stupid, you know that?” He sighed, settling down beside me. “You’re not fully healed yet. You shouldn’t be out here alone.” “I’m fine. It doesn’t really hurt.” He sighed again. “That’s not the point. The point is that you could very easily be hurt.” He looked slightly frustrated. “Again.” “Never again.” I assured him. “I won’t get hurt again.” “You can’t just say that. You don’t know what’s going to happen. If you're going to get Bakugo, you definitely can’t promise anything. Remember where he is, Kirishima.” I ducked my head, trying to forget about that- it mostly just scared me to think about how much danger he was in. “C’mon, why don’t we just go back to UA and let the teachers figure this out?” He asked, tugging on my sleeve. My head instantly shot up. “No! Last time, they brought that demon girl back! If anyone’s getting him, it’s going to be me, since I'm apparently the only one who I can trust to find the real Bakugo!” I snapped. Kaminari shook his head. “You can’t. You’ll get hurt, or worse, k!lled.” I jumped up. “When will you realize that I don’t care as long as he’s okay?” I whispered. “He matters more to me than anyone in life right now.” Kaminari stood up and grabbed my hands. “Look at me, Kirishima.” He said seriously. “You feel that about Bakugo? Well that’s the way I feel about you. And that’swhy I can't let you go.” “Kaminari-” “I’m not finished.” He looked down at me. “Since I care so much about you... I’d be willing to go find him for you, as long as you go back to UA and stay safe until I bring him back.” “I’m not going to-” “Yes you are. You want him back oh-so-badly? I’ll get him back for you. Don’t worry.” He smiled reassuringly. “I’ll be your hero for a bit, okay?” “I-” “I’ll get him back.” He hugged me. “Because you matter so much to me, and I hate seeing you upset like this. Even though I'm completely and utterly devasted that he matter more to you, even though I'm terribly jealous. I’ll make you happy, mmkay?” I nodded weakly. “I don’t l0v3 you the way I l0v3 him, Kaminari... but you really are an amazing friend.” “Thank you. Now get back to UA, alright? Rest up. I’ll get him.” “Thanks, Kaminari. Thank you so much.” I pulled away and k!ssed his cheek. “Better not tell Bakugo I did that, if I want a chance with him.” I giggled, then started walking back to UA. “You don’t even know how grateful I am.” I breathed, not loud enough for him to hear. “Bakugo... come back to me safe and sound.” END OF CHAPTER THIRTEEN
