Story here: I shouldn’t have let Kaminari go- I realized that after. Now I had two people to worry about. I was laying on my bed, eyes squeezed shut, fists clenched. I was stupid- that was evident. It felt wrong that I was letting Kaminari, one of my closest- if not the closest- friend I had go to rescue Bakugo. “You’re letting him risk his life just to make you happy. What is wrong with you?” I groaned and buried my face in my pillow. “At least I can count on Kaminari to bring him back...” ‘Maybe I should get some rest, like Kaminari said I should...’ I thought, turning onto my back. My gaze flickered around my room. It was boring. I just wanted Bakugo back. And to make him fall- and have it actually be him. Actually have Bakugo- Katsuki Bakugo- fall for me. I just wanted everything to be fine again. --- “Kirishima!” I nearly had a heart attack at the shout- it was Kaminari’s voice. I turned, and that was when my breath caught and my heart stopped beating. It was about three days after Kaminari had gone to find Bakugo. I had explained a small lie to the teachers (that he’d had a small family crisis and had gone home to sort it out) and now I was just waiting for him to come back, mostly. But seeing him now... He was covered in sc@rs and bl00d. His hair was messy and tangled, and leaning heavily on his shoulder was an unconscious Bakugo. “It’s actually him.” Kaminari stumbled towards me. “Toga was there and I didn’t get her. But we need to help him. He’s barely breathing.” He gently set him down in front of me. I was shaking so much I could hardly help Kaminari as he began to bandage the wounds with ripped pieces of his shirt. “What happened?” I asked softly. “I went to the League’s base and found Bakugo fighting for his life surrounded by those villains. I jumped in to help him and we barely got out. Bakugo... I was about to get taken down, but he pushed me out of the way, and took the hit... that’s why he’s unconscious.” He looked extremely upset. “Hey, Kaminari. It’s fine.” I squeezed his hand. “He’ll be fine, I’m sure. You think this will take him down? He’d think that as an insult.” I managed a grin. “True.” Kaminari took a deep breath, then continued bandaging him. “And why are you out around town?” “I went for a walk. C’mon, we should get him back to UA, unless you have any bad sc or anything we should patch up before we head back.” Kaminari shook his head, then scooped up Bakugo like he weighed nothing. I followed closely, looking at Bakugo with admiration and worry. He’d survived that long alone with a bunch of vicious villains. He really was amazing. “We’re almost back.” Kaminari nudged me out of my stupor. I nodded, looking back at Bakugo. I heard Kaminari sigh softly. “Are you okay?” He just nodded. “Kaminari...” “I just... I'm trying to show you how amazing we’d be... but you just don’t see it. You’re all dreamy and in l0v3 with Bakugo, and I hardly have a chance against him.” He ducked his head, smiling sadly. “But I guess I just want you happy, so... do what you will.” I rested my hand on his arm. “I just... I've always wanted him to l0v3 me back. But you know, if it doesn’t work out, at least I know you’ll be here for me. You’re an amazing person, Kaminari. An amazing friend, okay? I could never see you as anything more, only because it would feel like d my own brother.” I looked at him, then sighed. “And I know that’s not the way it is for you, but I just...” “I get it.” He smiled at me. “Be happy, mmkay? That’s what makes me smile the most.” “Thank you, Kaminari. Thanks for understanding everything.” He nodded, staring straight ahead again. “Of course. I mean, what kind of person would I be if I didn’t let you be happy?” --- Bakugo woke up days later, and I wasn’t even there. I’d been in the middle of dinner when Recovery Girl sprinted into the dorms and grabbed my arm, making me drop my fork. “Bakugo’s awake! He’s asking for you, come on!” She didn’t even give me a chance to push in my chair- she just dragged me to the hospital wing. When I saw Bakugo awake, I nearly started crying. He was sitting up in the hospital bed, staring out the window. “Bakugo?” Recovery Girl called. “He’s here.” Bakugo turned towards me and when his eyes met mine, he smiled, blushing softly. “Hi!” He said, looking slightly embarrassed. I ran to his side, unable to think. The next thing I remembered was pulling back from the k!$$, feeling shocked and furious that I had just done that. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to-” Bakugo cut me off, holding up a hand. His eyes were shimmering and he looked ecstatic. “That... was amazing.” I laughed. “Looks like I finally got you.” Bakugo grinned. “So you’ll d me, I'm guessing.” “Of course I will!” My face went bright red. “I mean, I don’t think I have a chance anymore.” “You don’t.” Bakugo pulled me closer. “You definitely don’t.” End of the series…?
Art isn’t mine! Guys… this is the last chapter… I finally finished it- not sure if I’m sad or proud of myself TvT
