“Actually, I do have doubts, all the time. Any thinking person does. There are so many sides to every question.” ― Edgar Allan Poe, The Raven Hello and welcome to the latest paragon of my insanity, my SWC application! If you're viewing for the second time, can't read the tiny text in the project, or perhaps don't want to deal with my crap here is the link to a forum post containing all my answers: https://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/491868/?page=1#post-4970888 If you are feeling so inclined as to explore this project, the format is pretty self explanatory so you could probably figure it out without reading this but if you're confused: -Clicking the flag will begin a short introduction, sit back and enjoy. -Once you're in the project you can use the right arrow key to scroll right and the left arrow key to scroll left. -If you're on mobile, clicking the small arrow in the upper left-hand corner of the screen will allow you to toggle mobile controls on and off. -Clicking on any of the paintings will allow you to view the answers associated with it. -The responses go in the original order the questions appear but they are also labeled inside the photographs for your convenience. -One a response is opened you can look at the next page with the arrow that appears in the bottom left of the screen. (All the responses have two pages so please check them out!) -You can close a response with the "X" in the top left of any response page. -Once you get to the last response the scrolling code will loop around, taking you back to the beginning. -Thank you and good luck!
Notes- This application is the result of several days and many hours of work. Please don’t let the day I am submitting this sway your decision, I assure you I am usually much more timely. I just wanted to make sure I was putting forward the best application I could. I sort of soft-launched this theme in the comments of the Leadership Application project so shout out to anyone who saw that! Feel free to offer feedback, especially if you find a glitch in my code or a typo!! Credits- -All the different slides are inspired by various Edgar Allan Poe works which are listed in the project. All the concepts as well as the quotes I quoted on the slide are obviously his work, not mine. -All the different images and graphics in the project are a collage of sorts of images I found on google and pinterest. All credit goes to the original artists and photographers. -The intro is actually a gif I found on google so credit goes to the original creator of that -The thumbnail and answer slides were all created by me using our lord and savior Canva. -I briefly used pixlr for the text that appears at the end of the introduction. -All the code was done by me but I did take inspiration for the scrolling code by looking at various other projects here on Scratch. -The song is Danse Macabre by Camille Saint-Saëns -Thanks to all the usual SWC credits you can find in the project this is a remix of. Without all their hard work I wouldn’t even be making an application right now. -Please let me know if there’s anything you think I missed!!
