Banana Bread/cherry pie ———————————— Banana bread, banana bread, you brought me banana bread last month You had said it reminded you of me, i never quite understood what you meant but maybe that was the point But it was very kind, it was very sweet ill admit, so i tried to make you some cherry pie but it burnt Maybe i don’t deserve you, maybe i don’t bring you any good, maybe all i can do is fail you but thats fine because you said it was I tried to make the cherry pie again, with cherries from my neighbors and i left it outside for too long The same story again, you’ll get tired of me and leave i know it, so its best if i just pull away first so i don’t have to deal with the pain Maybe i don’t deserve you, i don’t bring you any good, maybe ill i can do is fail you but thats fine because you said it was So i sit there with that empty tin with what used to be banana bread, wondering what you meant when you said it reminded you of me.
