Objective: Defeat the dragon and solve math problems (basic trigonometry). How to play: This game uses turn-based combat, which means you and your opponent take turns choosing 1 move at a time. Before you can decide what to do, you need to solve a math problem using a calculator and pencil and paper. If you get it right, you get your turn first and the enemy goes next. If you get it wrong, you don’t get to go at all and the enemy gets their turn. Make sure to CAREFULLY read the instructions on the box that pops up at the bottom of the screen where you type your answer. The answers have to be inputed in a specific way, or else you’ll get the problem wrong. Take your time and come up with a strategy, don’t just make quick, impulsive decisions. Moves: You have 8 moves in total. 4 are for attacking and 4 are for healing. Every move except “Slice” costs SP (Skill Points) and you gain 8 SP for every math problem you get right. Use your SP wisely and don’t blow it all at once. Details about moves: “Slice” is free and does the base amount of damage (250). “2x Cut” is basically “Slice” twice, but each hit does 0.75x base damage. “Slash” is a powerful hit and does 1.75x base damage. “Combo” is a combination of “2x Cut” and “Slash”. This time, “Slash” does 2x base damage. “Cure” restores a random amount of HP between 100 and 150. “Cure2” restores a random amount of HP between 200 and 300. “Cure3” restores a random amount of HP between 500 and 650. Finally, “Cure4” restores a random amount of HP between 700 and 800. Details about the enemy: I won’t give away too much about how the enemy ai works (not that it’s complicated or that you can't just see for yourself in the code), but it’s entire system is just random decisions, there’s no real order to it. It has 4 attacking moves and 1 healing move. It’s rarest move is the blue fire blast which has a 4% chance of occurring in any turn. It's healing move is a 5% chance so if it heals a bunch, you were just really unlucky. Credits: the dragon sprite, victory music, and game over music are all from Final Fantasy. The sound effects I found online. Everything else was made by me ( @lithium579 ).
