Dim's eyebrows came together in concern. He took a sip from his own mug. The cocoa didn't taste great, but it was okay. Still Aurora hadn't drank her hot chocolate. "Aurora? Are you okay?" "Hm?" She looked up at him quickly. Dim felt worried. He didn't know what could be wrong, but he wanted to help. He set is mug down on the ground and looked up into Aurora's face. "Please. Tell me what's wrong," he said, his face stern but his eyes kind. She blinked at Dim for a second, then took a sip of the hot cocoa. Dim forced a smile. "Is it any good?" "Great-" she murmured, staring into the mug Dim got up from his crouched position and slipped onto the couch beside Aurora. He quietly drank his hot chocolate, feeling awkward and wishing he knew what to say or ask A couple minutes later, Aurora stood up and walked into the kitchen. Dim pounced off of the couch and chased after her. He cut her off in the kitchen. "Woah, wait. I can do whatever you need to be done. Please, get some rest," he pleaded, his grey eyes searching Aurora's. She seemed distant. Dim felt uneasy as he watched her remove the bottle from the cabinet. "Aurora- what is that?" he asked softly. She didn't respond, but turned to hide it slightly before taking a quick drink. "Aurora!? Are you okay!?" Dim suddenly lost all control. His body became unstable, tearing at the seam, so that one second two Dims stood side by side, then in a blink of an eye he was whole again - at moments he appeared completely invisible. He reached out grabbing at Aurora, trying grasp her, but he hardly could control his body. He felt chaotic and afraid. "A-A-Aurora-a-a," his voice gurggled and glitched, his vocal cord being torn and crushed all at the same time.He reached out one last time, and this time managed to grab Aurora's shoulder. Her shoulder offered him some kind of anchorage, and his body snapped back into a whole. He gasped. "AURORA! Please! What is wrong!?" his voice sounded broken and scared. He dropped his head in shame. What was he doing losing control of himself all for someone he hardly knew... Someone who'd knelt by his side even in his worst state... Aurora was so numb, she barely even noticed what was happening. Soon enough the entire bottle was drained. She let it fall to the ground and she began to walk away, her steps uneven. His eyes widened with fear. As Aurora pulled away Dim lost his grip on her, and his control of himself. But as he watched Aurora's uneven steps lead her away he knew he had to pull himself together. He strained against the chaos that tore his existence apart, slowly pulling every atom of his body back into place. His vision blurred, but he made his way towards the golden gleam of Aurora's hair. Soon he had her in his grasp . "Aurora, you n-need help," his voice strained. Suddenly his body fell apart enveloping her body in darkness - then quick as sound he was whole again, the golden haired girl still in his arms. But, now they were standing in a entirely different room. Aurora let out a confused moan, her drunken eyes wide. Dim blinked in shock. This had never happened before... He instantly recognized where he was, and his face became worried. "Was-goin-on-" she slurre An middle aged man came out of a side room right at that moment. Dim froze with his arms still around Aurora. The man stared at Dim in shock for a moment before his eyebrows came together in anger. "What in all of GabbeldyGoop is going on here!! Dim!! What in the Allseer's Flame did I tell you!!" The man practically roared as he marched towards Dim. "Wha DID you tell 'im?" The man's gaze shifted from Dim to the drunk girl in his arms. His eyes dug into her face. "To not bring strangers to this place," he spat. He turned back to Dim and looked him up and down, his face scowling. Dim was soaked in inky liquid once again, and certain part of his body we're still unstable, glitching, stretching, and breaking. "I-I can explain-" Dim began but was cut off by a wave of the man's hand. "There is absolutely nothing I want to hear coming from your mouth," he said. "I'm not a stranger-" Aurora laughed. "I'm Aurora. Dim knows me" The man ignored Aurora's drunken blabbering and gestured violently for Dim to follow him. Dim released is arms from around Aurora, and with his head down began to follow the middle aged man. Aurora decided to stumble after them.
Dim followed through the door the man had just previously exited from. Inside was a good sized laboratory, though a little crowded. Dim was lead to a large tube. He stepped into it, and the man pressed some buttons on a keypad attached to it and the front of the tube slid shut. Inside the tube Dim attached some wires to himself. When Dim had finished hooking himself up the man pressed a few more buttons. Suddenly the tube became filled with a powerful charge of energy. The energy bounced around inside of it's tube shaped prison, pounding against the walls. The man pressed some buttons once more and the energy flashed and was gone. The tube's door slid open and Dim stepped out. His skin was smooth and whole now, and he felt entirely in control. He ever so slightly grinned. He always felt better after having his atoms refused. The man frowned at him. "My apologies, Master Griff, but I swear I didn't bring her here voluntarily. I somehow just appeared here." "Yeah, it was weird- he was just stretching and breaking and it looked like it hurt, and then we were here-" Aurora tripped as she tried taking a step forward. Dim rushed over and helped her back up. Griff frowned again, but looked slightly distracted as he rubbed his chin with a finger. "... Suddenly appearing somewhere else, hm..." Griff turned his gaze back to the drunken Aurora. "Hmph. Well, we need to deal with her before we discuss anything else." Dim looked up at Griff quickly. "What do you mean by that, Master?" Griff gestured for Dim to lead the girl over to him. "Please, Master Griff. It's only my fault she's here," Dim said, holding tight to Aurora's arm.Griff groaned. "Stop acting like I'm about to kill her, you idiot." "What are you going to do to her?" Dim asked, almost fiercely. Griff's face turned into a snarl, and he marched towards Dim angrily. "Don't you dare speak to me like that, you disrespectful, little wretch." Dim pushed Aurora behind him, and stood in a defensive pose, his legs spread wide apart.Aurora laughed, watching them. "Funny-" she giggle Griff marched up to Dim and slapped him in the fac "Darn it, boy. Why are you so dense?" he growled into Dim's face, "I'm not going to hurt the girl. Now move the hell out of my way!" Dim winced and stepped out of the way. "Sorry, Master..." he mumbled. But as Griff roughly grabbed hold of Aurora's arm he tense Aurora spoke up at the slap "don't hurt people", But it was quite passive. She grinned until he tightly grabbed her arm, after which she screamed, terror in her eyes. She began to shake immediately. Her mind seemed to be replaying past event Dim instantly stepped in, pulling Griff's grasp off of her. He held Griff's wrist so tightly in his hand his black knuckles turned greyish-white, and his pupils had turned into small black dots. His jaw was clenched, and his fangs were bared. Griff's eye's we're wide with shock. Then Dim came to and released the man's arm. "... Sorry, Master. I swear I have no idea what came over me." Griff looked furious. His wrist showed bright red finger marks."I understand you were not entirely in control of your actions - BUT THAT IS THE ALLSEER DAMN PROBLEM!!" Griff roared. "I've told you a hundred times to keep yourself under control!! Some day you'll kill me, Dim! That's what you'll do! Kill me!" Dim hung his head in shame. "Master, I-," Dim rubbed his arm with the palm of his hand, "I'm sorry... I suppose I thought she was hurting..Dim turned to follow her, but Griff grabbed hold of him. "What the blazing flames do you think you're doing?! You are going to listen to me, starting now! You will leave that wretch alone until I say! Do you understand?" Griff said. "...Yes, Master," Dim said. Griff walked over to a counter and took something, then walked back to Dim, his face still a picture of rage."You've proven that you are more than just a little unstable to me today," at this Griff shoved Dim's head downwards, "...and I will not have you putting my life in danger, or anyone else's." Griff snapped a metal ring around Dim's neck. "Master, I swear it won-" "Shut up, boy!" Griff interrupted. He grabbed the Dim's oversized shirt and dragged him towards a counter. He then began to snap two more rings around Dim's wrists.Dim's eyes stayed on the floor, his face burning with anger and shame. "Your ankles," Griff demanded. Dim lifted his leg silently, leaning it on the counter. Snap went yet another metal ring. "The other," Griff grunted. Dim lifted his other leg. Snap went the last ring. It had been a long time since he'd last worn these. Dim's eyes stung. "Master, this isn't necessary-" "I said shut up, Dim!" Griff interrupted once more. Griff let out a sigh. "I don't like this either, but you are unstable. We can't have anyone getting hurt." Dim silently nodded.
