i apologize if it's too short or seems rushed at the end, i was in science upon writing this and who likes science? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- nightfall has arrived. the rain settled hard upon the rocks and peaty soil. yet for this blue-gray cat, this was perfect weather for a night walk. the fog which settled in was thick, allowing him to get away from the night patrol if ever they came--and if it concluded to scents, the lingering musky hints were well enough to hide his which smelled of storm--not that his was already vague enough because of the rain, but it was still sharp enough. how he planned it in his head seemed malicious--yet really it was just a riddance of the wild energy of the camp. he merely thought of this as he padded away, the drowsy shadowclan clearing and the great red slowly fading out of the distance. what was left of what he could see are the rough outlines of blueback mountains as he left the pines of shadowclan and into the birch forests. it would be unsafe to venture into windclan territory, he thought, as eventually, where the rainclouds concluded, they would report him to shroomstar..which was the last thing he wanted. he wouldn't want to be kicked out of shadowclan--and sure, perhaps he was being a bit delusional, but there was a slim possibility. then and there he now is--into never-seen-before no-clan's territory. or at least..no-clan's territory he's never seen before. of course, he didn't know where he was, and nor will he find a way back. the "brave" cat he was, no matter how panicked, padded deeper into the barren grassland he now is on. surely he was close to windclan territory? if there were mounds of hills close by, that means windclan is near. and he didn't want that, but he had to find a way back. the fog was far too thick in the distance, and he was sopping wet, which made it harder to think. he scanned for at least a glimpse of pine nearby and padded towards it. the wind surely was whistling by, making him shiver, feeling like a block of ice is slithering down his spine. yet, once he made it to the once-welcoming pine forests of shadowclan, he let out a sigh of relief as the rain poured down hard once again. at last, he felt at home once in a long time.
