Use the arrow keys to move around and avoid the asteroids. Be very careful. One small touch and the game's over. Use space to shot at the asteroids. Collect the space rocks and crystals. The crystals are rarer, so I suggest if both come down at the same time and you know you won't be able to get both, go for the crystal.
My STEM teacher, Dr. Cohen, had the people in my class do some kind of race car game as in having the background move and avoiding and or collecting things. I came up with the idea for this game and here it is.
