V0: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/834487541/ This is the final demo before the V1 release! That will be releasing in a few weeks. And don't mind the intro having the @Skyrii123 logo, because the full game will eventually be shared on my main profile. All the important coding stuff is done, only the visuals need to be finished now. Also, don't mind the Distance counters being visible all the time; I'm too lazy to hide those variables and they will soon be represented by better visuals anyway. If I can figure that out. Menu: - Up/down arrow keys to navigate - Space to select or return to the menu Gameplay: (You can now view instructions created by Yuroi. The game needs some personality, you know?) - Up arrow key to jump - Down arrow key to duck - Space to charge when the meter is full: Charge nets you temporary invincibility and increases your distance. - Keep your eye out on Distance from HIM! ("HIM" is Devlyn the Charizard, whom Yuroi refuses to name) You lose 100m if you get hit, and it's game over if it reaches 0m. - Distance Travelled is your score. How far can you get? - Every 120s the game speeds up. You can get farther from HIM, but obstacles will also approach you faster. Known bugs It's been a really hot while since I made a finished Scratch game, so let me know of any solutions to these. - Permanent invincibility if the player collides with another obstacle while in a temporary invincibility state - Score calculation stuff I need to iron out later, especially for the Charge state Game balancing stuff that WILL get altered in V1 - Distance lost in particular speeds (I found that the game gets too easy at later speeds because a flat 100m reduction can't keep up with how much distance away is covered at those stages.) Everything to come in V1 (Release Edition) - Start menu - Proper animations for Yuroi - Finalized graphics for obstacles, Distance variables and whatnot - Dynamic visual indicator of HIM (Devlyn) - BGM and SFX - Game over screen and option to restart If I have the time to, I may also add these features (but if I don't they'll come in a later update anyway): - Mobile support - Close Call Mode (50m starting distance away and 500m maximum, max speed up) - Reintroduce the scrapped Indicator visual - Personal high score - Leaderboards
