Welcome to Power Plant, comrade! You will keep our glorious country of the Union of Scrathian Socialist Republics running! The way we have designed reactor has allowed it to operate more effectively at higher pressures, so feel free to take risk, my friend! Just be careful not to blow it up, since design of reactor has made that common at... high temperatures... Use arrow keys to navigate around the Reactor Control Console. Detailed operating Instructions inside the Operator's Manual
NOTE: THIS IS THE UNFINISHED BUILD! MORE FEATURES ARE TO COME! (Credits below changelog) CHANGELOG: - V0.10: - (V0.10.0): FEBRUARY 21, 2025 - Added the event logger! On the reactor control panel, a new monitor now logs events within the reactor, even trivial things! (Please comment on any issues with the system, as I may have made spelling mistakes when writing down the logs.) - (V0.10.3) FEBRUARY 24, 2025 - Added "Turbine Pressure" which is read from analog dials. Currently does nothing, however, will be used for more realistic power generation soon. - (V0.10.5) FEBRUARY 26, 2025 - Fixed inconsistencies between numbering of the lights on the elec utilities, and the breakers. - (V0.10.6) FEBRUARY 26, 2025 - Added "ALL" option to maintenance options. - (V0.10.7) MAY 9, 2025 - Added a breaker tripping system. After reaching a certain pressure, some breakers may turn off due to "power surges" (due to the high pressure), and instantly malfunction. - (V0.10.8) MAY 9, 2025 - Made the buttons in the radio menu highlight when you hover over them to make it more clear that they, are in fact, buttons. (and also, it looks nice.) - V0.11: - (V0.11.0) MAY 14, 2025 - Removed the pressure warning alarms (besides the meltdown alarm, obviously), because it led to some "alarm fatigue" in playtesters, where they ignored alarms because they had heard it so many times. Additionally, rebalanced the utility health (Gens/Turbs). While this isn't too major to warrant a big version change, it's probably still a pretty significant change. - (V0.11.1) MAY 14, 2025 - Fixed the event warning buzzer (plays when there is a "warning" level event) not playing if its bumped down on the list before it plays. Also added back some of the alarms DURING the meltdown sequence, since it didn't feel chaotic enough anymore. - (V0.11.2) MAY 14, 2025 - Updated the smoke that is shown during meltdown. - (V0.11.4) AUGUST 20, 2025 - Updated the turbine water pressure display to be a more digital display. The randomization is off (what makes it move randomly), while I figure out how to make it work properly. (I have figured out how to make it work, and it now bounces around properly!) - (V0.11.6) NOVEMBER 15, 2025 - Updated the meltdown music... cooler, but longer... in preperation for another update... PLANNED: - "Tasks" to get employee credit - Revamped Meltdown Last Resort - Employee Credits Highscores - Walking around the facility. I may not do this. - Add things that randomly break at really high temps - Revamped and Rebalanced Employee Credit System - Maybe you can purchase stuff with the employee credit?! - Decoration based around the "country" you are in (since I blatantly said it in the instructions) - Animated employee handbook?! - Revised controls and instrumentation to be more realistic Most sound effects, like the alarms, are from the internet. Thanks to Griffpatch for the tutorial for the bars that show the turbine pressure! I repurposed his healthbar to make a smooth bar. (YT Video: "AMAZING HEALTH BARS in Scratch") ...and ANOTHER thanks to Griffpatch's tutorials centering my number displays! (YT Video: "Code a TEXT ENGINE") (I also used his system of assigning numbers in text when I needed to add % or letters to the variable displays)
