The first variable, x, would be your first term, or 2 in the equation 2+5=7. Your operator is the part of the equation that modifies your integers, or + in 2+5=7. Your second variable, y, would be your second term, or 5 in 2+5=7. You can only currently put in -, +, * or / for your operator, but you can put in any number (No fractions, but decimals work) for x and y.
