byler and why it’s canon season uno during season uno all mike is talking about is will. he’s afraid he’s dead and once says he’s the only one who cares about him. mike risks his and the party’s lives to find him. for me I think the whole eleven thing was a distraction. he knew will was gone and he didn’t want to believe it, so he distracted himself with el. i also think that dustin’s baby teeth weren’t the reason he jumped off that cliff. i think he felt that if the one person who understood him and who he loved dearly was gone, maybe he wanted to be too. he didn’t want to live without will. season dos this season has so much quality byler content, meow. anyway, during season dos, mike is very clingy and protective over will. i think he’s afraid that will is going to leave him again. all throughout the season mike is caring for will. plus the whole “crazy together” thing. also when will had a vision on Halloween, mike said ‘im taking you home’ but mike brought will to his house, showing that will is important to him, as he’s saying his home is will’s as well. (that was most definitely a run on sentence) during this season mike also says that asking will to be his friend was the best thing he’s ever done. he is always worrying about will and asking if he’s ok. i also feel like he’s very touchy in this season, he seems to put his arm around will or touch him at every opportunity he gets. I also really liked the part where mikes like ‘he’s quiet today’ lucas brushes this off, but it shows that mike was paying close attention to will.
season tres i love this season so much, but it makes me so angry as well. sadly this season doesn’t have too much byler, as mike is too busy making out with el to care about will. but there’s at least a one or two scenes I could mention. first i’d like to mention the scene when el dumps mike. this could be interpreted differently but when el dumps mike will looks like he’s hopeful or something? idk how to describe that but whatever, it seems like maybe he’s thinking he finally has a chance..? i really don’t know. another scene i have to mention is the rain fight.*boos echo in the background* now as much as this scene pains me to watch, i think there are some key clues about will and mike liking eachother. so firstly after mike says “iTs NoT mY fAuLt yOu DoNt lIkE gIrLs’ he looks like he knows he hurt will, so he softens his voice before speaking again. But he also immediately apologizes after. he always speaks in such a gentle, soft tone with will it’s so cute. SONG IS GOOD LOOKING BY SUKI WATERHOUSE
