Happy Mother's Day! I posted photos of my two favorite characters from my favorite video game with their loving mothers. :) (Press space or click.)
Mothers everywhere, every day do so much for us. Even if we don't always realize it, they are always working their hardest to offer love, comfort, and advice to whom they love. And even if you're someone who doesn't have a mother, that's okay. Think of other mothers in your life who have supported you if they're a teacher, Aunt, Grandma, whoever they may be, they deserve recognition for all they have given. Now about the song... There's a special story behind it. In the early 70's, the main songwriter for the Beatles, Paul McCartney had been going through a very dark time. Suffering through amnesia, anxiety, alcoholism, and stress about the band's foreseen breakup that would soon come later that year. One night, Paul's mother Mary McCartney who had died when Paul was 14, appeared in a dream of his saying things to him like "Let it be. Let things come to you as they will. Everything will be alright, I promise." Paul described the dream as being very clear and his mother's eyes distinctly visible. And from that point onward, Paul was able to put his life back together, and continue to be successful in the following years. This story is a great example of how influential and important mothers are. Even after many, many years of Mary McCartney's death, Paul was able to keep her spirit in his heart. So think, who's the important mother figure in your life? :)
