something i might or might not do premise: So basically So this guy is in the army, and he loses his eyesight and his left arm after his team's truck runs over a landmine And he is the only survivor And when he returns to normal life he is haunted by PTSD So after a few months being home he suffers from depression and is contemplating su*c*de So he go through all of these things trying to find a purpose Until one day a mysterious man approaches him saying that he can help him And he accepts the mans offer So the guy takes him to this ancient temple And he shows him this mechanical artifact that attaches itself to him and becomes his left arm And he takes him to this door, and when they get to it his left hand turns into a key And he puts it in the door and the door opens (his left hand transforms back to a hand) And behind the door is a room, and in the middle of it is this sword And when he grabs the sword, he gains enhanced physical abilities and super advanced senses, a (not too op) healing factor, limited telekinetic abilities, and kind of regains his sight Also when he gets the sword the man reveals himself to be the spirit of his great-great grandfather Who was a mystical warrior And he can ignite his sword in this magic blue fire And the robot arm has cool stuff, too Like blades and a sheild And he has to train for combat, and learn to his his abilities and his arm And throughout the whole series, he is still struggling with PTSD And he also gets his ass kicked while fighting Like, A LOT But he is able to pull through every time through sheer determination
I got the idea for this while listening to one of my favorite songs of all time, "One" by Metallica.
