my solo game Independent Free from outside control Not dependent on another’s authority — I remember the days when i was an innocent, naive child. I went around the village telling everyone about things everyone already knew about days before. Now, I go around the village asking everyone if they want flyers (A/N: or fliers idk) about the LGBTQ+ Community Awareness club (started last week) and the BLM club. Everyone wanted my papers back then, but now, it feels like the people don’t want to be outside at all! It’s all because of this stupid new king. I slump down lower on the chair and groan. Miles looks over at me and raises his eyebrow. “Though day, huh?” I shake my head. “You don’t even know. Nobody wanted that LGBT awareness club paper!” Miles pens his mouth to say something, but I interrupt him. “And I don’t think it was because of the drawin, because you nailed it.” He makes a face. “I’m not.. that good.” I roll my eyes. “You’re so modest. You’re the best artist in this village!” Just then, Lilian walks into the library. “It’s time to go. Got your stuff?” I scratch my wrist. Lately, it’s been itchy. I don’t know why! There are no mosquitoes here. “About that.. I kind of use the money you gave me to pay the fines on the printer instead… sorry?” Lilian rolls her eyes. “Dang, girl. I get you want to spread word,” she adjusts her bag onto her shoulder. “But next time, tell me and I’ll give you more money. You have to pay your fines, darling.” She starts for the door. “Bye, miles! See you tomorrow. Anastasia, let’s go.” I frown. I turn to miles and say, “can you pass out these flyers for me? People seem to like you better.” I look over at Lilian. “Bye, miles!”
