Use the arrow keys to move. Press X for the fireball. If you have Fireflower, press SPACE to start a level and the arrow keys to switch levels. Press the down arrow key to slide when you are on a slope. Press SPACE to kick a shell, and press V for the spin jump. Also, to get over the first wall, spin jump in mid-air.
