DS #009, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich. (Who are all Russian composers from the romantic period! In this portrait I drew them when they were younger, in there 20's or 30's.) I decided to draw them all together because I feel like they have a really interesting group dynamic! Please ignore the fact that I haven't posted in four days xD- life do be busy. Also ignore how I don't even know if I'd classify this as a sketch --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- NOTES FOR MY FELLOW NERDY ARTISTS (lol): In this piece, since I was trying to draw attention to more than one subject, I used shape language to try and capture the viewers eyes. You may have noticed that all of the composers' heads form a triangle, each of the corners at their faces. Theses points draw the viewers eyes to the main subjects. Than, to embrace the subjects more, I drew a grid in the background, and lined up the intersecting points somewhere near Tchaik, Shos, and Rach's faces, drawing more attention to them. Then, to compliment their suits, I used colors that fit well with gray; Green, light purple. and you may have noticed the bits of blue I put in my piece. This makes things more fun to look at, even with a simple art style like mine.
My ugly half-erased thumbnail sketch in the b/g you should ignore lolll zoom in code: @colorsnatch My dried out gray ohuhu markers ;-; Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, and Shostakovich. My painful invisalign and rubber bands *cries*
