tw // spooky scary spider, fear ...... ... Legendkit was sleeping. It was dark, very dark. But then again, it was always that way in the quiet, confined walls of the nursery. He dreamed. The young tom wouldn't remember when he was awaken, but I'll go ahead and tell it. He was running. Through the sand-filled dunes, sparkling in the blistering sun. Dust kicked up from behind him, the vast blue sky opening its mouth in a yawn. You might wonder how Legendkit could dream of somewhere he's never been before. Yet his Dada had told him stories of the stunning WindClan territory, and he could only imagine. Only one thing seemed to be off Everything was dark. Alas, the chocolate-and-cream kitten had never seen the sun, in all of its glory. He had never seen that stunning, fiery orb that seared your eyes if you peeked to long. The bright star in the sky, giving heat to the Earth below, warming the cat's backs and helping the plants grow. He had never experienced the sun, no. But I'm rambling now, so let's move further. Legendkit was racing through the dunes, which mirrored the stories his father had told him, the only big difference the lack of the bright sun. He was bigger. Older. Faster. Stronger. Yes, young Legendkit was a warrior in his dream, at his full potential. He skidded to a stop, peering just over the next hill. There it was. The jackrabbit, the climax of our story. It was a giant one, with hind legs that could crack a cat's spine. Legendkit licked his lips, his mouth instantly watering at the sight of his prey. He crept forward on expert paws, so different from his clumsy kitten ones. His moves as smooth as silk, the wind blowing in his direction, the jackrabbit surely was a goner. Perhaps his name would be Legendrabbit, after this heroic catch. No, that was a silly name. Legendhunter? Still not right. Hmm... what name would be deserving of the hero of WindClan, Legendkit the Valiant? Legendstorm. A name as fierce and as powerful as the cat who wore it. Yes, that would work perfectly. Legendki- Legend/storm/ moved forward on ivory paws, his sapphire and emerald eyes narrowed in concentration. He was a coyote-length away. One swift move would do it. He leapt. The chocolate-and-cream tom wrestled around with this monstrous jackrabbit, who was putting up a good fight. But no one was a match for Legendstorm the Valiant. Yet the jackrabbit was acting... funny. It stopped fighting, and it tickled Legendstorm with its tail, sending fits of laughter through him. "Stop! That tickles!" Legendkit giggled, not aware he had said this out of the aspects of his dreamland. The jackrabbit didn't give up on its goal, and Legendkit felt a tickling sensation up his chocolate-dipped spine. The dream-world was turning, swirling and spinning until the kitten was snapped back into reality, blinking his bejewelled eyes sleepily. That was a strange dream, he thought to himself. A strange dream indeed, young Legendkit. Funny... it still felt like he was being tickled. Legendkit lifted his sleepy head, peering at his back. There was a dark spot on his back. Huh. Did he grow another marking overnight? Dada didn't tell him this would happen! Wait, the marking was moving. Legendkit leaned in closer, squinting as he tried to identify it. Then he realized. He was face-to-face was the most /terrifying/ creature /ever/. It was bigger than his paw! And as black as night, with /so many/ unblinking eyes. Hairy. Too many legs... So, Legendstorm the Valiant did what any brave, sensible WindClan warrior would do. He shrieked and ran away. Out of his nest of scraps, all around the nursery, he tried to escape this monster. Yet it had the grip of a lion, and it refused to let go, nestled deeply into its fur. The chocolate-and-cream kitten's shoulder brushed against the walls in his mad attempt to get it off. He thrashed around helplessly, looking like he was dr0wning. His Dada's head snapped up immediately, and he grabbed Legendkit by the scruff. Legendkit hardly heard the words his father wassaying over his pounding heart. Don't be afraid... Nothing worry worry about.. Just a spider... /Spider/. Legendkit snuggled into Bellflowercharm's, his green and blue eyes wide with fear. The older cat wrapped his tail around the kitten, mewing soothing noises. When Legendkit finally drifted off to sleep, he thought two things. One, dreams could very much be deceiving. Two? Spiders were the worst. /// /// /// yep, Legendkit now has arachnophobia :')
