wow! i've been on this little site for ten years! that's a long time, i'm gonna talk about it! i joined scratch when i was a kid back in february 2013, back when it was scratch 1.4. i didn't make an account until may 2013, when scratch 2.0 was released. since then i've fallen in love with coding, started drawing as a hobby, and used this website as my internet home for many many years. a long time ago i unshared most of my projects from 2013 to 2016-17ish, but i was most certainly active around then. scratch was a very different place when i first joined. warrior cats were all the rage and this website was *much* smaller. it's fun to see a brand new generation enjoy this site and potentially take on STEM as a career for themselves in the future! i am going to college as an electrical and computer engineering student. i'm forever grateful for this website for kickstarting that love of computing for me. i will likely never be super active on scratch again, real life is too busy! but i might pop in once in a while to see what's happening here. some final advice? keep creating and keep learning. try not to compare yourself to others because you'll end up frustrating yourself in the end. stay curious and make the most of the time you have now, you won't ever get it back! --- the pose scratch cat is in was taken from the book "internet: a first discovery book". iconic book cover, i absolutely adore it
