Oakscar reflecting on his relationship with his brother, Sparrowstar (at the time Sparroweye) back when he'd recently become an apprentice, while Sparroweye had been deputy. Basically, Oakscar used to idolize his older brother and admired him more than anything. Especially because their dad was a rogue that they'd never met and their mom never wanted to have them and was never around, even before she left the Clans out of spite. Sparrowstar was all that he had. But Sparrowstar never really cared much for Oakscar even when they were young. Eventually, Sparrowstar betrayed SeaClan (see project: Lost at Sea) and brutally attacked Oakscar when he was an apprentice (during but not included in project: Sparrowstar's Revenge), even coming back from the dead to try to destroy Oakscar's clan (see project: Whispering Shadows). This left Oakscar feeling betrayed and doubtful, and ashamed of his scars as they are the exact same ones as Sparrowstar had, making him look a lot like his brother.
