꒰ @rantosaurus ꒱ ❝ christian stereotypes ❞ 21 / 05 / 2023 ,, cuba ⚠ this is a rant . pls share ⚠ ⚠ ur opinions respectfully in the comments ⚠ @rantosaurus #rant it cant be just me seeing this 1 ok so im scrolling through yt or tt and what do i see ?a video that says smthn like ''perfect daily routine - christian girl edition''. so like ok lets watch the vid.. 2 firstly why do christian girls have a separate ''perfect daily routine'' than everyone else ? what makes us so different ? how come we cant spend our day the same way everyone else does ? 3 the vid starts off by saying wake up at 6:30, ok early but not any different to a ''regular'' routine ive seen posted. then straight away at 6:35 its got this - pray. ok so dont get me wrong, im not saying dont pray, definitely pray, but like really ur just assuming that christian girls pray asap in the morning ? normally i pray when i get to school at like 9:00 ish - not ever as soon as i wake up 4 then it says eat ur breakfast, brush ur teeth, etc until 8:00 when it says read the bible until 10:30. ok so, i dont read the bible on a daily basis, but when i do its normally when i am at church, so only abt an hour and we dont even read the bible for the whole time. also i have to leave to go to school at 7:15 so.... also the christian faith is split up into smaller churches (im a catholic) so not everyone worships or believes the same way. personally i prefer to pray than read the bible as praying means ur speaking to god, rather than just reading scriptures abt him 5 the vid says get dressed and then at 11:00 leave for church. i only go to church on sunday as this is the day god rested (in the creation story) and altho mass can vary in time the one at my church is usually abt an hour, rather than until 5:00 as this video suggests! also i have school and ppl have to work, they cant necessarily spend their whole day at church 6 at 5:00 it says go home, light candles and pray. not many ppl do this, especially not after going to church. 7 i feel like whoever is creating this videos isnt even a christian so has no right to go about making yt shorts or tiktoks abt this when they probably dont even know that much abt the faith/s. i think they r just creating them off stereotypes tbh 8 also i keep seeing vids abt like explaining parts of the bible or the christian faith to christians. christianity is split up into lots of smaller communities who believe in slightly different things, so u cant really explain smthn to the whole religion. also u cant tell some1 what to believe, especially if u dont even believe in what ur talking abt anyway 9 it rlly annoys me especially when i see stuff saying things like ''follow or u will go to hell'' ''only real christians will subscribe'' ''like or else u hate jesus'' ''fake christians will scroll, but real ones will follow me for more to prove that they love god'' just no. ur trying to gain followers (and money!) from a religion that many ppl r actually part of and believ in *including myself and many of my friends and family 10 so honestly pls stop if u r making these on any social media/video platform. ik this isnt a scratch-specific issue but it needs to stop so spread the msg beyond scratch. im not doing this for clout, im doing this for my faith and other christians out there who r seeing these things and feel the same way<3
