I ran out of the house as fast as I could, “it’s 6:55!” shouted my friend Ivan as he struggled to put on his shoes. I ran to my bike hoping that I would make it to school in time, as soon as I picked up the rusty old bike from the ground, the handle had fallen off. ‘’Boris!’’ Shouted his mother, ‘’would you and Ivan like a ride to school?’’ I looked at Ivan and Ivan looked at me with a threatening glare. ‘’I would love a ride!’’ I said as I ran to the pink and black jeep. I heard loud barking and growling; I turned around in alarm to find a large brown dog running toward me at an extremely fast pace. I quickly jumped into the jeep and closed the door. On the way to school Ivan’s mother had turned on the radio to the news station. ‘’Our newest story from the Spring County jail; A prisoner has escaped and is on the loose, please make sure your house doors are locked when you leave your home and valuables, and report any suspicious behavior to your nearest police station’’ the news person said before Ivan’s mother turned off the radio with a sigh ‘’I hope they find them, the whole area could be in danger’’ she said with a sigh as she pulled into Springtown Middle school; Mine and Ivan’s school that we attend at. After their mother parked the car with no words spoken, the bell rang. ‘’Shoot! We’re going to be late!’’ Ivan said as he opened the car door, jumping out of the car as I came out of the car. ‘’Ivan, chill, we have like, 6 minutes to get to our next class, or did you forget that today is late start Monday like last time?’’ I asked jokingly. Ivan frowned ‘’Hahah- very funny, a real knee slapper’’ Ivan said sarcastically with a roll of his eyes as we started to walk to class. As the day went by, the more my mind wandered off into the wilderness of my mindscape. It didn’t really matter that my mind did this until I reached my 6th class, my dreaded math class. Mr. Brown, the one teacher I have that makes me want to drop a fridge on top of him and watch him squish like a pancake. ‘’Hello Boris, sit in your seat and get ready for the test’’ Mr. Brown said with a smirk. ‘’Shoot, I forgot there was a test today’’ I said in thought as I walked into the classroom, walked over to my table and sat down, hoping I wouldn’t zone out during the test. ‘’Hey Boris!’’ said a girl about his age; she was short but yet tall as she sat down, straightening out her flower pattern dress “Hey Abby” I said with a voice crack. My face turned red out of embarrassment for my voice had just cracked in front of the girl of my dreams. Abby gigged as Mr. Brown started to pass out the test. ‘’Alright guys, when I give you your test I shouldn’t hear talking, if I do, I’m failing all your guy’s tests and no one in here will leave with a good grade’’ Brown warned us as he gave me my test; I looked at my test then the floor slowly zoning out, drowning out the sounds of my classmates shushing each other while I forgot the test even existed.
