This is a project I've been working on for a little over a week now, partly for my art class and partly for a project my sister is working on. These are 10 alien creatures that I designed and drew, based kind of on the designs from Cosmic Encounter (a really fun board game), and I'm very happy with how they came out! The names are quite similar to those in the game referenced, but I did my best to make sure the designs were pretty different (look them up to check, if you want!) You may notice that the rendering is a little different than my normal style, and that's because I was kind of on a time crunch, but luckily they're all finished now! Press space or use the arrow keys! A little about each of them: 1. Virus - "Long ago, after decimating local populations on its native planet, the Virus was in danger of extinction. However, the advent of interstellar travel rekindled their populations." 2. Booster - "Able to multiply rapidly, Booster soon overwhelmed its own planets and has been spreading rapidly throughout the Cosmos, stopped only by zero-tolerance strategies and Clorox." 3. Machine - "A simple and ungainly species, the Machine has turned to unconventional strategies to gain an advantage in the galaxy." 4. Miser - "Coming from a barren world, the Miser exhibits a strong sense of schadenfreude that has prevented it from forming alliances during its quest for interstellar authority." 5. Human - "Warlike and fairly dim by Cosmic standards, humans are not considered much of a threat. However, like cockroaches or pygmy leviathans, they are notoriously difficult to eliminate." 6. Rewind - "Notoriously sore losers, the Rewind has spent centuries perfecting the art of whining for its advantage. All games, but especially poker, are not recommended to be played against them." 7. Leviathan - "One of the oldest species in the galaxy, the Leviathan relies on its strength in encounters. Related species include the Loch Ness Monster and whales." 8. Void - "Coming from an egalitarian world, the Void is opposed to all systems of advantages and disadvantages. As such, they developed a system of defense to level the playing field between themselves and their opponents." 9. Vacuum - "After centuries of captivity and use for cleaning purposes, the Vacuum broke free and has sworn its revenge on the universe. Despite their lack of power, their tenacity prevents anyone else from winning an encounter." 10. Nuclear - "Formed in the aftermath of the Second Interstellar War, Nuclear has the powers of a sentient and very large hydrogen bomb. While they are largely peaceful, their carelessness makes them the second most dangerous species behind Star Lemurs." (My favorites are Virus, Vacuum, and Nuclear!) click to zoom you can find higher quality versions of (some of) my art here: https://flashliiqhts.tumblr.com/tagged/my%20art - - - zoom coding: background: https://images.unsplash.com/photo-1513625047154-f390b1b0df20?ixid=MnwxMjA3fDB8MHxzZWFyY2h8MXx8ZmFpcnklMjBsaWdodHxlbnwwfHwwfHw%3D&ixlib=rb-
