These creatures (and many more that were not featured) have been suffering for years due to human intervention. They have been suffering from hunting, deforestation, addition of non-native species, global warming, and a long, long list of other problems that humans have caused. Unless we want the lion, tiger, panda, (unfeatured on this project), rhinoceros, (also unfeatured) and many other modern-day animals to end up like the: mammoth, dire wolf, Tasmanian tiger, passenger pigeon, Great auk, saber-toothed-tiger, (there is still a LONG list to go), Carolina parakeet, Caspian tiger, (possibly) baiji, Steller's sea cow, Pyrenean Ibex, Spotted hyena, and way too many more to name. (Just go onto Google or some other search engine and search up 'U.S. Fish and Wildlife service extinct animals'. They have a good few to name.)
Did you know, that over 99% of all animals (that have ever been on Earth) are extinct? And there are around 8.7 million species of animals (alive) on Earth! Scientists estimate that there are still around 7.5 million animals to discover. That means that some species might go extinct, and we don't even know about it! Some scientists say that the following animals, and more, will be extinct by 2050: Lions Elephants Pandas Pangolins Sea Turtles Rhinos Bees Polar Bears Tigers Dolphins Cheetahs Great and 'Lesser' Apes Whales Frogs Eels Lemurs Saolas (It's a tiny antelope/deer thing. I had to search it up!) Koalas Leopards Vaquitas There is an estimate that at least 1 million species will be gone by 2050. Sign to show that you care! -Leopardfrost2711
