Just because they felt like their relationship was forced doesn't mean it WAS. I thought Riordan made it pretty clear in Heroes of Olympus that they DID actually love each other. I feel like he changed his mind. Maybe to be realistic, maybe just to hurt us even more... But one thing I am positive about is that they DID love each other. It was just... confusion. Doubt. Being a demigod is hard, but MAN WHY'D HE HAVE TO DO THAT TO US I REALLY LIKED THAT SHIPPPP NONONONO!!!! Sorry, still mourning here. Let's see if I can finish reading these books or if I'm going to return them to the library early and burn the rest of my Pjo books. I kind of want to. It's really difficult to read them now.
