Just some lore, heres basically whats happening. Valori was supposed to be Daniel's groom when he inherited the kingdom. But, Val's father broke the treaty of peace between their kingdoms, and the marriage was called off. Valori had strong feelings for him still however, and he was very upset. For years the two kingdoms had war, and then when both of the kings were un-alived, peace came. Valori expected Daniel to be as excited as he was, because now they could get married and have their happily ever after Thats not what happened. Daniel had fallen in love with a commoner, a rogue named Oliver. Valori was furious, and took some... unexpected measures to make Daniel love him. After months of failed attempts, Valori kidnapped Oliver and forced Daniel to make his choice. To save his love, Daniel told Valori he loved him. Valori got excited, and asked him to marry him, but then Daniel told him the hard truth. He and Oliver were already married.
