Still not telling you anyone’s names, but Roots Run Deep is the only thing I’ve been drawing about for a while. 1: A fully inked AND accurate drawing of the main characters?! Daaang. Whenever I draw the guy on the right I keep forgetting he wears cargo pants instead of jeans. 2: Scrapped character. She would’ve been named Isabel, and would’ve been the main girl’s sister’s friend. There wasn’t any point to her though. 3: A drawing of the main girl in a new art style. I’ll probably only use it again if making 2D rigs for these guys is my only animation option. 4: A mysterious old woman in that same style. (Also I know she’s got a cigarette but don’t smoke guys. It’s bad. Duhhh.) 5: The mysterious old woman’s equally mysterious but far less subtle friend/lover/nemesis. Those sunglasses have bright orange lenses, mind you. 6: The main girl, sort of. Remember this is a time travel story, and some weird things happen. What’s with all of my characters having weird glasses? 7: Main guy on the left and some other guy on the right who has zero bearing on the plot whatsoever, yep, totally irrelevant, for sure. (JK.) 8: A fast and careless driver, whose music taste is entirely heavy metal and 90’s pop. 9: (full screen) Practicing my super-simplified art style for storyboarding. 10: The main guy and gal again, but again only sort of. Time shenanigans can do that to you.
